THE ROAD THEATRE COMPANY and Taylor Gilbert, Founder/Artistic Director together with Sam Anderson, Artistic Director, have announced the second show of its 2014-2015 season, the Los Angeles Premiere of THE OTHER PLACE, written by Sharr White and directed by Andre Barron and starring Sam Anderson, Taylor Gilbert, Dirk Etchison and Danielle Stephens. THE OTHER PLACE will preview on Saturday, February 14 at 8pm; Sunday, February 15 at 2pm & Wednesday, February 18 at 8pm and will open on Friday, February 20 at 8pm and run through Saturday, April 11th at the Road Theatre Company's second home, the Road on Magnolia, located in The NoHo Senior Arts Colony, 10747 Magnolia Blvd. in North Hollywood.

The BLUEBARN Theatre will present the regional premiere of Standing on Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays written by an A-list lineup of writers including Mo Gaffney, Jordan Harrison, Moise?s Kaufman, Neil LaBute, Wendy MacLeod, Jose? Rivera, Paul Rudnick, and Doug Wright; Conceived by Brian Shnipper. The play runs January 8-17, 2015.

Trustus Theatre will start the new year in the Richard and Debbie Cohn Trustus Side Door Theatre on January 3rd at 8:00pm with a collection of topical plays by some of America's most acclaimed playwrights: Standing on Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays. With marriage laws changing in South Carolina, this production will stand as a powerfully relevant piece in the intimate 50-seat theatre. Trustus will hold a talk-back following the performance on January 11th, 2015. Patrons are encouraged to make their reservations early at www.trustus.org.

The Cape Playhouse Producer and Chief Executive, Mark Cuddy, today announced four of the six shows for the much anticipated 2015 Summer Season, the historic Playhouse's 89th. In revealing the titles, he stated "We are excited that all six of our shows will be Cape Playhouse premieres! And continuing the tradition we have established over the previous 88 seasons, we will treat our audiences to both classic and contemporary entertainment."
PTC Sets Lineup for 2015 New Play Reading Series

Pioneer Theatre Company announces the titles in the second season of its reading series, 'Play-By-Play.' Play-By-Play provides developmental rehearsal periods for three new plays each season, with the playwright working alongside a professional director and cast for a week-long residency, culminating in three public readings of each play available to theatregoers at a very modest cost. The plays will take place at smaller venues on the University of Utah campus.

The full lineup has been announced for the 2014 Planet Connections Theatre Festivity, New York's premiere eco-friendly/socially-conscious theatre festival running from May 12-June 8 at the Paradise Factory (64 East 4th Street) upstairs & downstairs theaters. With 40 full productions, over 10 free staged readings, music & film festivals and more, one thing that makes Planet Connections unique is that each show partners with a charity and some of the ways they offer support are soliciting donations at shows, holding special benefit performances, fundraisers and/or talkbacks after performances with charity representatives. The music festival will take place at 8pm on May 21, 22 & June 5 at R Bar (218 Bowery).

The evening, which will benefit the non-profit NYC food services agency City Harvest, will showcase world premiere one-act plays by four acclaimed playwrights: Obie Award-winner Israel Horovitz (Line, The Indian Wants the Bronx), Erik Ehn (13 Saints, Soulographie: Our Genocides at La MaMa; currently head of playwriting and professor of theatre and performance studies at Brown University), Wendy MacLeod (The House of Yes, Juvenilia and The Water Children which both premiered at Playwrights Horizons, and Things Being What They Are, which premiered at Seattle Repertory Theatre and had an extended run at Steppenwolf), and Winter Miller (In Darfur which premiered at The Public Theater; The Penetration Play produced by 13p).
