Van Gogh: A New Musical has announced the addition of Celine Snippe as librettist and lyricist. The Creative Team also consists of Will Nunziata (Co-creator / Director), Rachel Bertone (Co-creator / Choreographer), Eric Fegan (Composer), and Emily White (Devising Dramaturg).

BMI introduced three new awards, including the BMI Streaming Documentary Award, BMI Film Festival Award and BMI Streaming Film Award, recognizing the importance of these mediums and the composers whose musical works have contributed to these categories.

Richmond Triangle Players opens its 29th season with the Virginia premiere of Elise Forier Edie's The Pink Unicorn, an acclaimed, award-winning new play. Urban Stages is bringing back Lori Brown Mirabal's play with music, CHARMED LIFE , From Soul Singing to Opera Star beginning performances on July 9, in advance of its Wednesday, July 14 opening night. The paintings of Vincent Van Gogh come to life in this inspiring story of a brother’s unflagging devotion and financial support. Distilled from more than 500 letters exchanged between Vincent Van Gogh and his brother, Theo. Nimoy’s play honors the legacy of one of the most celebrated artists of the 19th century. Theo defends, justifies, and vindicates his brother’s life and work in this inspiring story of a sibling’s unfailing support and empathy. Written by Leonard Nimoy and Directed by Michael Herring, and Theo/Vincent is performed by Stefan Langer. In-person audiences for all shows, live-streamed July 8th. Woman on the Internet will follow Gartland’s first two acclaimed EPs, 2019’s Why Am I Like This? and the follow up Freckle Season, which was released in February last year.

The Actors’ Gang Theater will debut We Live On, a new play based on Hard Times by Studs Terkel, on July 22nd. With additional text by Tim Robbins and the cast and under Robbins’ direction, the live virtual production will be presented in three parts and will run through September 4th.
