Award-Winning Solo Show MO-TO-THE-ONCLE Returns To KeyBank Rochester Fringe Festival

Last year's favorite Mo-to-the-oncle (pronounced MO-to-the-AWN-uh-kuhl) returns to the 2018 KeyBank Rochester Fringe Festival (Wednesday, Sept. 12 - Today, Sept. 22) today, September 15 at 6 p.m. and Sunday, September 16 at 4 p.m. at the School of the Arts Ensemble Theatre (45 Prince Street, Rochester, NY 14607). Tickets are $15 at rochesterfringe.com, where more information is also available. Remaining tickets will be available at the door starting one hour before curtain.

DR. NATASHA/MR. VAYNBLAT Comes to Union Hall

Natasha Vaynblat puts on a one-night only hybrid standup/ character special. Broken up into four sections, Natasha will switch from standup to characters while accompanied by Eric Gersen on the keys. From delivering jokes about her Russian upbringing to giving advice as a French doula, this show is a wild ride spanning genres.

Host Nat Towsen (VICE, Nickelodeon) combines the disappearing, eclectic lower Manhattan culture in which he grew up (around the corner from the theatre, in fact) with interviews, informative presentations, and the best of the NYC comedy scene. The show features native luminaries as well as a few welcome New York transplants.

The production will play shows in Queens at the Plaxall Gallery, Astoria Park, Queensbridge Park, and Rainey Park as well as in Manhattan at the West End Theatre. Reservations are strongly encouraged and can be made online at rudegrooms.com.

UCB Theater Hell's Kitchen Extends Powerhouse Estrada Run Through August

The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in Hell's Kitchen has extended dates through August for 'Branded Content Will Set You Free,' and 'The Scumbags of '77,' which were written and co-written by infamous UCB luminary Alex Estrada. UCB bigwig John Sartori shares a writing credit for 'Scumbags.'

BRANDED CONTENT WILL SET YOU FREE Continues Run At UCB Hell's Kitchen Theater

'Branded Content Will Set You Free,' a dystopian sketch revue running at the new Upright Citizen's Brigade Theatre in Hell's Kitchen, has been extended through May 2018. The show, which takes place in a grimdark future where all content is branded, was featured in a UCB industry showcase in March 2015. 'Branded Content Will Set You Free' features appearances and performances by Joanna Hausmann (Netflix's Bill Nye Saves The World, Univision's Flama Digital Comedy Network) Gianmarco Soresi (TBS's The Last O.G, Caroline's Up And Coming Comics), Audrey Stanfield, John Sartori, Max Brand, Brittany MacDonald, and Lindsay-Elizabeth Hand. It was written by notorious UCB personality Alex Estrada and is directed by Ellena Chmielewski (Liminal Salon, Standards and Practices).

Carolines Announces Breakout Artist: Natasha Vaynblat June 12th

Natasha Vaynblat puts on a one-night only hybrid stand up/ character special. In this 90min show she'll jump from hard jokes to oddball characters and then back again.  From delivering jokes about her Russian upbringing to giving advice as a French doula, this show is a wild ride spanning genres. And Natasha has invited some of her favorite NYC comics to share the stage. Hosted by Ashley Brooke Roberts (Night Train with Wyatt Cenac) and featuring CJ Hunt (The Rundown with Robin Thede), Mary Cella (Little Old Lady Comedy), and Eric Gersen (UCB), it's a stand up special for people craving something beyond the everyday stand up special.

VAPOR 2099 is a science fiction themed sketch comedy show set in a dystopian cyberpunk future. Think 2001: A Space Odyssey but with flying drones, floating 3D cones and of course, TONS of vaping. The cast features performers who regularly can be seen in NYC at venues like the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, Union Hall, Vital Joint and have credits that include Adult Swim, IFC, Conan on TBS, Funny or Die, The Chris Gethard Show on TruTV and more.
