Aziz Ansari brings his Road to Nowhere stand-up comedy tour to BAM on May 18. Ansari stars in, writes, and directs Master of None, a Netflix original comedy series that he co-created with Alan Yang (Parks and Recreation). Aziz won the 2016 and 2017 Emmy Award for "Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series" and has received five additional nominations for "Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series" (2016 and 2017), "Outstanding Comedy Series" (2016 and 2017), and "Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series" (2016). 

Toxic Masculinity: The Musical starts it's official run at the UCB Theater on April 1st, paired with Musical Improv show Rumpleteaser. The show is written by and starring Douglas Widick (North Coast, Pop Roulette) and Ken McGraw (UCB) and is directed by Caitlin Bitzegaio (The Rundown with Robin Thede, MTV, truTV). Disney|ABC Television (DAT) has selected eight writers for its 2019 Writing Program. Widely recognized as one of the entertainment industry's most successful, the writing program offers advanced professional development before participants are hired as staff writers on DAT shows during the program year. 

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents LA LUNA QUARTET in "LA LUNA QUARTET IN CONCERT" on March 28, 2019 at 9:30 PM. Soprano Stacy Dove, mezzo-soprano Sishel Claverie, tenor Blake Friedman and baritone Eric McKeever will present a program of famous operatic and musical theater tunes sometimes performed as they are meant to be and sometimes "Fach'ed Up", where each artist will perform selections outside of their normal voice type or gender. La Luna will also turn opera on its ear by taking famous arias, duets and ensembles and, with the help of the audience, improvise a new story on the spot. Improv + Opera = Making music without a GPS map. Who knows where we'll end up?

Clip Show is an award-winning, NYC-based sketch comedy troupe comprised of nine writers, actors & comedians: Brian Flynn, Jonathan Greaser, Myles Hewette, Logan Lampton, Ganesh Nair, Joe Pardavila, Ryan Stanisz, Heather Beeman and Travis Tack. WHAT: Clip Show has been performing together for three years and has secured a monthly residency at the Peoples Improv Theater (PIT), one of the top comedy theaters in NYC. Nat Towsen's Downtown Variety Hour is back at UCB Theatre East Village on Monday, February 4 at a slightly earlier time 7 PM with the an all-star comedy lineup! Host Nat Towsen (VICE, Nickelodeon) combines the disappearing, eclectic lower Manhattan culture in which he grew up (around the corner from the theatre, in fact) with interviews, informative presentations, and the best of the NYC comedy scene. The show features native luminaries as well as a few welcome New York transplants.

Today, Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) announced the initial line-up for the 2019 SCAD aTVfest, Atlanta's only festival dedicated to television. Now in its seventh year, the university's annual signature event celebrating the television industry will be held at SCADshow on February 7 - 9, 2019. Entertainment Weekly (EW) will serve as the first ever Official Media Partner for SCAD aTVfest.

Tony nominee Alex Brightman (Beetlejuice, School of Rock the Musical) will help celebrate the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre's 1st anniversary in their new Hell's Kitchen space on Monday, December 10th at 8pm for a one-night only event: Brigade Meets Broadway.
