Where do you start to describe Heresy, "Ireland's first electronic opera" by composer Roger Doyle? You can't, and I won't. Besides, there is no point. It's not about the story. It's not about the singing. To some extent, it's not even about the music. Heresy is, from start to finish, an exquisitely conceptual and sophisticated piece of metatheatre in disguise of an opera.

OSF Closes its 2016 Season

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival wrapped up the 2016 season on October 30 with the final performances of Great Expectations, Richard II, Twelfth Night and The Yeomen of the Guard. Preparations for the 2017 season and 2017 member ticket sales are already underway. The 2017 opening weekend is February 24-26; preview performances begin February 17.

Cara Ricketts and Graham Cuthbertson Star in Canadian Stage's CONSTELLATIONS

After dazzling audiences in London's West End and on Broadway, Canadian Stage is proud to bring the international hit Constellations by British playwright Nick Payne to Toronto in a new production directed by the award-winning Peter Hinton (Shaw Festival). On stage at the Bluma Appel Theatre from November 8-27, Constellations stars Cara Ricketts and Graham Cuthbertson as two people finding love in multiple universes.

Center of Creative Arts (COCA, 524 Trinity Ave, St. Louis, MO 63130) will be hosting a performance on Saturday, October 15th at 8pm and The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis (130 Edgar Rd, Webster Groves, MO 63119) will be hosting a performance on Monday, October 24th at 8pm. Victory Gardens Theater continues its 42st season with the world premiere of Roz and Ray, written by Karen Hartman and directed by Artistic Director Chay Yew. This World Premiere runs November 11 - December 11, 2016, with the press performance on Friday, November 18, 2016, at 7:30 pm at Victory Gardens Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue.

Centaur Theatre Opens its 48th Season with CONSTELLATION

Centaur Theatre opens its 48th season with Constellations, winner of London's Evening Standard Best Play Award and written by British wunderkind, Nick Payne. Running from October 4 to 30, 2016, this quirky tale of two people finding love in multi-universes, which made waves on both sides of the Atlantic in London's West End (2012) and on Broadway (2015), is directed by the accomplished Canadian director, former Artistic Director of the NAC English Theatre and recent META nominee, Peter Hinton.
