Yesterday marked the fourth annual Red Nose Day in the U.S., following a seven-week campaign of activity across the country that brought together millions of Americans to have fun and make a difference, raising money and awareness for children living in poverty. The campaign has now raised over $42 million for children who need it most in America and around the world — totaling more than $145 million in the campaign's first four years in the U.S. The final number is expected to increase as the public continues to donate and turn in fundraising dollars in the coming weeks.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that following on the heels of NBC's critically acclaimed rock musical 'Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert' comes the true original rock musical, 'Hair Live!,' which will be broadcast in the spring of 2019 in front of a live audience. 

The Chris Hardwick-hosted “The Red Nose Day Special” adds Ben Stiller, Lauren Graham, Anne Hathaway, Connie Britton, Minnie Driver, Olivia Munn and Retta to the star-packed lineup joining together to help raise money for children living in poverty. 

More than 35 media outlets are graciously supporting “The Red Nose Day Special,” airing Today, May 24 (10-11 p.m. ET) on NBC, by generously donating media space in support of the star-studded charity event. Contributing to the effort to end child poverty in the U.S. and around the world, media partners are donating print and digital space, airtime for spots, advertising space in theaters and more.
