A criminal defense attorney takes on the case of a seductive artist accused of murdering his girlfriend, but when burning desire takes hold things get hot… and dangerous. The cast includes Kelly Rowland, Trevante Rhodes, Nick Sagar, Sean Sagar, RonReaco Lee, and Shannon Thornton.

Disney’s Onyx Collective announced streaming premiere date for its first narrative feature film, “Bruiser,” following its theatrical release on Dec. 2. The film stars Trevante Rhodes as Porter, Shamier Anderson as Malcolm, Shinelle Azoroh as Monica, and Jalyn Hall as Darious.

Hulu announced today that the streaming platform has acquired the U.S. rights to Lee Daniels’ THE UNITED STATES vs. BILLIE HOLIDAY, which will debut as a Hulu Original film on Hulu on February 26, 2021. Sierra/Affinity will continue to handle international sales on the film.

NSV announced today they have optioned the rights to Den of Thieves, the 1992 non-fiction book written by Pulitzer Prize winner, James B. Stewart. Oscar-nominated screenwriter Terence Winter (The Wolf of Wall Street, The Sopranos) will write the teleplay for the limited series, which tells the story of the massive insider trading scandal that brought down Drexel Burnham Lambert as well as ending the careers of Wall Street heavyweights Ivan Boesky and Michael Milken, who recently received a full pardon by President Trump. The series will be produced by Jordan Fudge under his NSV banner and Alexandra Milchan under her EMJAG Productions banner.

Deadline reports that upcoming film 'The United States vs. Billie Holiday' has cast Evan Ross, Dana Gourrier, and Erik Laray Harvey in supporting roles. Lee Daniels directs a script by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Suzan-Lori Parks.

Beginning production in early October in Montreal, Lee Daniels will direct and produce THE UNITED STATES VS. BILLIE HOLIDAY, a new feature film about the legendary jazz singer Billie Holiday. In 2010, Daniels received an Academy Award nomination for Best Director and was the first African American to receive a Director's Guild of America Nomination for Best Director for his critically acclaimed film PRECIOUS. Daniels also helmed the global box-office hit, THE BUTLER in 2013, grossing over $175M worldwide.

20th Century Fox has released a new red band trailer for THE PREDATOR. Directed by Shane Black, the film stars Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Alfie Allen, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey and Yvonne Strahovski.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix will be the new home to the stop motion animated film WENDELL AND WILD. The duo are set to share their voices in the feature as two demon brothers facing their enemy to get out of hell. The film comes from Henry Selick (CORALINE, THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS).
