Gingold Theatrical Group (David Staller, Artistic Director) is proud to announce the 2019 Golden Shamrock Gala will be held on Saturday, March 16th at 3 West Club (3 West 51st Street), and will honor humanitarian and award-winning creator of Godspell, Pippin, and Wicked, Stephen Schwartz, and tireless supporter of the arts in New York, Mary Pamela Singleton.

The Fred Ebb Foundation and Roundabout Theatre Company this week presented the fourteenth annual Fred Ebb Award for aspiring musical theatre songwriters to Will Reynolds and Eric Price.

The Acting Company (Ian Belknap, Artistic Director; Elisa Spencer-Kaplan, Executive Director) honored director and artistic leader Bill Rauch and the married civic leaders Barbaralee Diamonstein-Spielvogel and Ambassador Carl Spielvogel- individuals whose exemplary work aligns with the artistic and educational ideals of the storied repertory company that produces nationally recognized theater productions and arts education programs-at the Company's 2018 Fall Gala, on November 12. Held at the historic Metropolitan Club (One East 60th Street), the event raised nearly $400,000 and brought together awards, live entertainment, silent and live auctions, dinner, and cocktails in celebration of theater and its contribution to American society. Tony Award-winner and The Acting Company alumna Harriet Harris hosted, with performances by Joanna A. Jones (Hamilton) and Tatiana Wechsler, featuring Russ Kaplan's Broadway Jazz. 

Just last night, Mark William made his solo nightclub debut at The Green Room 42 with the world premiere of 'Come Croon With Me.' Putting his own unique, youthful spin on golden age crooner styling, Mark performed a collection of classic tunes from Broadway and The Great American Songbook. With his sophisticated approach, he glided from Jerry Herman to Peter Allen to Henry Mancini with charismatic ease and a spring in his step.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is awarding $225,000 in emergency grants to immediately help those battling and affected by the historically devastating wildfires spreading in California.

The Phantom of the Opera, The Council of Fashion Designers of America and Bank of America have partnered to commemorate Broadway's longest-running musical with a unique project in support of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Broadway, Off-Broadway and national touring shows will begin six weeks of annual fall fundraising next Friday, October 19, 2018, a collective effort by the theatre community - those onstage, backstage and in the audience - in support of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

The Actors Fund held a ribbon-cutting on October 5, 2018 to celebrate the launch of Looking Ahead in New York City, a program which originated in 2003 in Los Angeles and is designed to help young professional performers and their families thrive amid the unique challenges of working in the entertainment industry. The Paul Libin Center serves as the home for the Looking Ahead program in New York City, and is located in Times Square at the main offices of The Actors Fund at 729 Seventh Avenue on the 12th floor.

Playwright Terrence McNally's award-winning Broadway resume includes such shows as Ragtime, Kiss of the Spiderwoman and Master Class-to name a few-as well as four Tony and three Drama Desk Awards. McNally comes to 92Y on Sunday, October 21 for a special event including a film screening, discussion and performances celebrating his extraordinary life.

The life of Charles Hamlen, one of classical music's most legendary managers and philanthropists, will be celebrated at an intimate house concert featuring renowned violinist and Hamlen protege Joshua Bell. The Monday, October 1, tribute is produced by and benefits the organization Hamlen founded, Classical Action: Performing Arts Against AIDS, now a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

The Berkshire Theatre Group, now celebrating its landmark 90th Anniversary Season, welcomed opening night visitors to Christopher Durang's beloved double bill Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All For You and The Actor's Nightmare  starring Broadway favorite Harriett Harris while the cast of The Petrified Forest by Robert Sherwood met with Berkshire Alum Michael Raymond-James who recently starred on ABC's  "Once Upon a Time." 

For the past thirty years, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS has been a vital part of the theatre community, and Tom Viola has been around to nurture its growth since the organization's inception in 1988.

Producers Tim Levy (Director, NT America) and Jordan Roth (President, Jujamcyn Theaters) announced today that the Olivier Award®-winning National Theatre revival of Tony Kushner's masterwork, Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes, has established the 'Angels Fund' to provide hundreds of $5 tickets to each part of the play to NYC-area LGBTQ & HIV/AIDS service organizations. Some of the organizations that have received these specially-priced tickets include: Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA), Gay Men's Health Crisis (GMHC), SAGE, Callen-Lorde Community Health Center and The LGBTQ Center.

In celebration of acclaimed photographer Andrew Eccles' 16 years capturing stunning images of the human form for Broadway Bares' advertising campaigns, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS invites lovers of the show and of fine art to a special gallery exhibition and online auction of one-of-a-kind prints of Eccles' work.

The West Bank Cafe/Laurie Beechman Theatre became all PLAID last night in a Benefit For Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids and the special production proved that PLAID will happily be on our planet FOREVER! The performance continues for two more nights.

Broadway Backwards (#BroadwayBackwards) took the stage last night, April 2, 2018, at Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street, NYC), currently home to the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Kinky Boots. Gingold Theatrical Group (David Staller, Artistic Director) held the 2018 Golden Shamrock Gala on Saturday, March 17 at 3 West Club (3 West 51st Street), and honored actress and activist Martha Plimpton and actor, producer, and long-time Executive Director of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, Tom Viola. This year's gala was geared toward raising funds for GTG's full production of Shaw's masterpiece, Heartbreak House, which will run in New York's Theatre Row on 42nd Street from August 28 through September 29th.
