Rubicon Theatre presents the World Premiere of ESTELLA SCROOGE: A CHRISTMAS CAROL WITH A TWIST, a modern day take on Charles Dickens’ beloved 1843 novella A Christmas Carol. Stellar cast of twenty-four includes: Betsy Wolfe as Estella Scrooge, Clifton Duncan as Phillip 'Pip' Nickleby, Lauren Patten as Dawkins, Patrick Page as Mr. Merdle, Carolee Carmello as Marla Havisham, Danny Burstein as Ebenezer Scrooge.

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) announces the initial line-up of featured performers for the 2019 TRU Love Benefit: Follow Your Art, Fulfill Your Dreams, honoring James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director of The York Theatre, and performer-producer Haley Swindal.

Mambo Italiana is about family camaraderie. It's about being displaced by outside forces. It's about the younger generation breaking away from traditions and being caught between cultures old and new.

The first phase of #THEatreACCELERATOR program culminates in a live Shark-Tank-style pitch session where participants present their shows to theatre and tech industry veterans including Broadway Producers Deborah Taylor Barrera and Tom Polum, Tech Entrepreneur Helen Situ, Broadway Choreographer Michele Lynch, Investor and Producer Frank Kavanaugh and Investor Jonathan Ledden.

Theater Resources Unlimited will establish a new TRU scholarship fund at its annual TRU Love Benefit this November 4th at Caroline's on Broadway. Honorees at the benefit this year will be Baayork Lee and the National Asian Artists Project (NAAP) receiving the TRU Spirit of Theater Award, and John Chatterton and the Midtown International Theatre Festival (MITF) receiving the TRU Entrepreneur Award. The scholarship fund will be open to any candidates demonstrating financial need, and will include annual worthy candidates submitted by both NAAP and MITF.

I may be the only serious Broadway fan who has not seen Andrew Lloyd Weber's version of Phantom of the Opera, so I went into Westchester Broadway Theatre's Revival of Maury YestonArthur Kopit's Phantom with a completely open mind.

Night after night, audiences rose to their feet for the stunning musical thriller. The original production was directed by William Pullinsi and starred Robert Cuccioli as the Phantom and Glory Crampton as Christine Daee. 'PHANTOM' returned to our stage in 1996 and 2007 directed and choreographed by Tom Polum, who had been in the original production. This extraordinary piece will grace our stage once again with Tom Polum at the helm.
