In early December, I had a chance to speak with Brian Blythe, one of the creators of the Costume Industry Coalition and the Showstoppers exhibit that ran until December 5th in Times Square. The Empire State Building Observatory (ESBO) atop The World's Most Famous Building today announces the completion of the redevelopment of its 80th floor. The final component of the four-year, $165 million-dollar project to reimagine the ESBO adds engaging and informative exhibits to orient visitors on their visit to New York City and showcases the building's unique place at the center of it all.

Four projects representing diverse world voices, each with bold and independent visions of how art can elevate the human experience, comprise this year's selected projects for the two-week Sundance Institute Theatre Lab at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA), convening December 3-17, 2017, with a public performance of another project slated for December 9. The Theatre Labs process is rigorous and generative. Dedicated to the creation and development of forward-thinking theater; projects are cast individually, rehearsed daily and benefit from concentrated, uninterrupted time and resources.

Artistic Director Robert Lyons announced today casting for two shows in the 19th annual Obie Award-winning Ice Factory Festival. Ice Factory 2012 takes place at the New Ohio Theatre's new West Village space at 154 Christopher Street between Greenwich and Washington Streets in New York City. Jessica Dickey (Wit on Broadway, The Amish Project) and Liz Wisan (Other Desert Cities) will star in the New York Premiere of Bekah Brunstetter's Miss Lilly Gets Boned along with Brian Belcinski (My Base and Scurvy Heart), Adam Blodgett (The Cotillion), Sanam Erfani (Cats Don't Grin), Aaron McDaniel (Aquila's Macbeth), David Rosenblatt (The Play About My Dad) and Chris Thorn (Guthrie's Henry V).
