Metro Art Presents the return of 'Salsa Night at Union Station,' an evening of vibrant dancing and music in the South Patio, Friday, July 5, from 7:30 PM to 11:00 PM. Popular Los Angeles bands Son Mayor, Rumbankete and SitaraSon will provide music, noted instructor Kati Hernandez will give dance lessons and Super DJ Robby will spin in between sets.
Giants of jazz and the next generation of stars highlight New Jersey Performing Arts Center's (NJPAC) spectacular jazz performances for the 2019-2020 season. This year will mark the eighth annual TD James Moody Jazz Festival which will consist of diverse performances from Nov. 9 - 24.

The National Puerto Rican Day Parade (NPRDP) Board of Directors announced additional themes and tributes that will make up its 2019 celebration. Under the theme, "One People, Many Voices," the Parade will continue celebrating the best of Puerto Rican culture and history, paying tribute to key historical figures and raising awareness on issues of importance in the community. The Parade also announced several distinguished Puerto Ricans that will round out its roster of honorees to march up Fifth Avenue on June 9.

On Saturday, May 4 at 7:30 pm, Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT) will continue its highly touted Jazz Masters series with the Gerry Malkin Jazz Collective, renowned artists who have been called a 'quintessential... group that plays top-notch music' with pedigrees that 'run deep in the jazz hierarchy.' Led by Malkin on tenor sax, the distinctive post bebop sound of the Collective interprets music of the classic era of mid-twentieth century jazz from Miles Davis to John Coltrane. 'Growing up, The Shirelles, The Chiffons, The Ronettes, The Crystals and The Shangri-Las were really important to me,' says Little Steven aka Steven Van Zandt. 'This song is my take on the type of song I might have written for a Girl Group like one of those fantastic acts back in the day.'
