Theatre East launches the season with the 5X5 Drama Series: The Empty Stage running Nov 30-Dec 3. The 5X5 Drama Series will feature five new short plays by five of Theatre East's writers-in-residence: Travis Tate, Shaun Bennet Fauntleroy, Adam Kraar, Jeff Athey, and Oliver Palmer. MCC Theater will produce a four-week development workshop of a new musical, Hearts Beat Loud, to be presented on February 9 & 10, 2023. Hearts Beat Loud is based on the inspiring 2018 indie film set in Red Hook (starring Nick Offerman and Toni Collette).

MCC Theater has announced the return of their full in-person season for the MCC Youth Company and Student Matinee programs after operating remotely and in a hybrid program for the last two seasons. MCC will be hosting a two day in-person audition on Thursday October 20 and Friday October 21, 2022, from 4:30 – 6:30pm.

Theater Resources Unlimited will present Meet the Coaches, during which actors can meet more than 10 monologue and music coaches, plus accompanists, who will share their methods and then meet individuals in breakout rooms.

Williamstown Theatre Festival is celebrating tonight’s first performance of Most Happy in Concert, Tony Award-nominated director Daniel Fish’s reimagining of Frank Loesser’s critically adored score to the musical The Most Happy Fella, choreographed by Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, playing through Sunday, July 31 on the Main Stage.
