The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts today named 10 artistic fellows to its inaugural GreenRoom musical theater training fellowship created by and for BIPOC artists. The new program - which will operate out of the Ordway's spaces in downtown Saint Paul - received more than 60 applications.

Tiffany is an Broadway and film actress, singer, dancer and arts educator with a career in the entertainment industry spanning more than two decades. In addition, she is a certified Life Coach practitioner (The Soulful Life Coach) and Executive Speech Coach (Abundant Leadership Speaking).

The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts today launched GreenRoom, an intensive musical theater training fellowship created by and for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) artists. The six-week program will be led by seven BIPOC artists and run July 7 through Aug. 18. Applications for the 10 open fellowship positions are available now. GreenRoom is made possible by support from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.

MN Black Theatre Circle, in partnership with the Guthrie Theater, will present Blackness Is…, a theater-inspired arts festival to be streamed May 21–22 at 7:30 p.m. and May 23 at 7 p.m. CDT. The play takes place at the dawn of the age of electricity and with that a groundbreaking piece of technology.  The perfect gentleman and inventor, Dr. Givings has created a device to treat "hysteria" in his patients by inducing "paroxysms" that attract the attention of his wife, who hears the sounds of success through the walls of his operating theatre.  Meanwhile, Mrs. Givings struggles with a new baby and her own urgent desires.  This modern comedy of manners is full of exploration and fulfillment.
