The HBO Original drama series THE GILDED AGE, which features a stacked cast of Broadway talent, has been renewed for a third season.

Broadway says goodbye to two productions. Some Like It Hot takes its final bow at the Shubert Theatre following 43 previews and 440 regular performances; and I Need That will conclude its limited run at the American Airlines Theatre following 21 previews and 68 regular performances. The venues will soon be home to Hell's Kitchen and Doubt respectively

The National Theatre has announced the full cast for Dear Octopus. Dear Octopus will run at the Lyttleton Theatre from 7 February–27 March 2024. Learn more about the cast here!

The 36th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Awards Program will be held Thursday, Jan. 11, at 6 p.m. at the Casino Live Hotel Ballroom in Hanover, Md. Dignitaries attending will include Maryland Governor Wes Moore, U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen, Congressman John Sarbanes, County Executive Steuart Pittman, and Annapolis Mayor Gavin Buckley. The keynote speaker will be Congressman Jonathan Jackson, the youngest son of Rev. Jesse Jackson and godson to Dr. King. Governor Moore will also provide comments at the event.

The Ted Herbert Music School is launching a Community Big Band for ages 13-19 in Manchester, NH. Students will have the opportunity to rehearse, perform, and learn in an ensemble setting, mentored by professional musicians.

Hartford Stage announces the cast and creative team for Martín Zimmerman's Simona's Search, directed by the theater's Artistic Director Melia Bensussen. This new, mysterious, and witty story makes its world premiere at the Tony-Award winning theater, running January 18 through February 11, 2024, at 50 Church Street, Hartford, CT.

At the conclusion of San Francisco Opera's December 9 fall season final performance of The Elixir of Love, the Company honored composer and philanthropist Gordon Getty in an onstage ceremony.

All rise for Academy Award winner Aaron Sorkin's adaptation of Harper Lee's Pulitzer Prize-winning masterwork TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD. Starring Emmy Award-winning actor Richard Thomas as Atticus Finch, directed by Tony Award winner Bartlett Sher and based on Harper Lee's classic novel, the production will premiere at the Washington Pavilion with five performances January 12–14, 2024!

San Francisco Symphony Music Director Laureate Michael Tilson Thomas is reducing his upcoming conducting schedule with the Orchestra and has withdrawn from his upcoming January 18–20 and February 23–25 programs in order to focus on his health. 

On Monday, December 18, James Barbour returned to Birdland with his annual Holiday Concert. The audience was entertained with holiday classics, incredible music and the warmth of the season. With Rachel A. Kaufman at the piano, James and his guests Lori Zapata, Elizabeth Ward Land, Jessica Ferguson, and Frank Perman helped usher in the holiday season.

Rusty Gear Records Two New Songs With Artist Sax Player Evelyn Rubio. The two day recording session included eight of America's top musicians, including Paul English (piano), Rankin Peters (bass), Tyson Sheth (drums), Wayne Turner (lead guitar), Brian Thomas (Dobro), Thomas Hulten (Trombone), Brian Perez (Sax), and Ken Easton (Trumpet).

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of hip-hop, Passage Theatre Company presents 'Ghetto Gods in Divineland,' a new play inspired by the Poor Righteous Teachers.

Netflix hosted the World Premiere of the upcoming film GOOD GRIEF at the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles. Cast members in attendance included Daniel Levy (who also wrote, directed and produced the film), Ruth Negga, Himesh Patel, Arnaud Valois and Kaitlyn Dever.
