Ed Waterstreet, Artistic Director of Deaf West Theatre announces that on the heels of their innovative revival of the musical Pippin, a co-production with Center Theatre Group, Deaf West will present a special 30th anniversary production of a play that brought deaf culture to the forefront of the theater world, CHILDREN OF A LESSER GOD, written by Mark Medoff and directed by Jonathan Barlow Lee, who was the original stage manager for the Tony Award-winning play.

Following its sold-out, critically acclaimed run during this year's New York International Fringe Festival, the World-Premiere of playwright Jason Mitchell's THE BOYS UPSTAIRS will return for a limited engagement as part of FringeNYC Encore Series, with performances September 10 through September 27 at the Soho Playhouse (15 Vandam Street).

The award-winning Deaf West Theatre's (DWT) has named Laura Hill its new Managing Director. This position was previously held by Bill O'Brien and has remained vacant since his departure to the National Endowment for the Arts in 2007.
