Arts And Education Council Awards 20 Organizations With Operating Support Grants

The Arts and Education Council announced today $495,500 in Operating Support Grants for 20 arts organizations across the bi-state region. The grants, made possible by contributions from thousands of individual, corporate and foundation donors, are part of the $1.7 million the Arts and Education Council invests in the community each year.

Arcola Theatre Announces Edinburgh And London Runs Of Dael Orlandersmith's UNTIL THE FLOOD

Arcola Theatre today announces the European premiere of Until The Flood, written and performed by Pulitzer Prize nominee Dael Orlandersmith. The production, directed by Neel Keller, will be the first by Arcola Theatre at the Edinburgh Festival. It opens at the Traverse Theatre on 2 August, with previews from 1 August, and runs until 24 August. It then transfers to Arcola Theatre, London, opening on 6 September, with previews from 4 September and running until 28 September.

The Rep Earns $1.5 Million In Single Ticket Revenue From Its Latest Season

The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis made a tremendous sales splash with its 2018-2019 season, sending retiring artistic director Steven Woolf out on a high note with more than $1.5 million in single ticket sales. That number includes ticket sales from the theatre's six Mainstage and three Studio productions. This is the third straight season in which The Rep has topped the $1 million mark in single ticket sales.

Hartford Stage announced today the cast and creative team for Jeeves & Wooster in "Perfect Nonsense." The Olivier Award-winning comedy from brothers David and Robert Goodale will perform at Hartford Stage Thursday, March 21, through Saturday, April 20. Original director Sean Foley returns to stage the show, which is making its North American premiere at Hartford Stage. Three Broadway actors - Chandler Williams, Arnie Burton, and Eddie Korbich - star in the three-hander.
