The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis is proud to announce its Mainstage and Studio Theatre seasons for 2019-2020. This will be The Rep's first season under the leadership of new artistic director Hana S. Sharif.

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) begins the second half of the 2018-19 season with Rupert Holmes' Tony Award-winning musical, "The Mystery of Edwin Drood." Paul Mullins will direct the interactive musical mystery. Performances will be held in the Harriet S. Jorgensen Theatre February 28th - March 10th. Zoetic Stage and the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County present THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME, Simon Stephens' Tony Award-winning adaptation based on Mark Haddon's best-selling novel.

A group of nationally renowned playwrights will present public readings of their newest scripts at The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis' Ignite! Festival of New Plays, running March 27 - April 4, 2019 in The Rep's Emerson Studio Theatre.

Acclaimed Broadway performer Corey Cott and rising star Mikaela Bennett will headline Lyric Opera of Chicago's premiere of Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim's groundbreaking American musical West Side Story, presented from May 3 - June 2, 2019 at the Lyric Opera House, 20 N. Wacker Drive, Chicago (press opening May 4, 2019).

Kennedy Holmes, finalist of season 15 on NBC's The Voice, has been added to the entertainment line-up at the Arts and Education Council's St. Louis Arts Awards on January 21. She will perform alongside acclaimed jazz pianist Peter Martin, a 2012 Excellence in the Arts recipient. The performance is a nod to Lifetime Achievement in the Arts recipient Ken Page, with whom Holmes appeared in The Muny's "Aida" in 2016, and Champion of the Arts recipient Sue Greenberg, company manager at The Muny and executive director of St. Louis Volunteer Lawyers and Accountants for the Arts.

A fun, new musical adaptation of an audience favorite comes to First Stage this holiday season. Created by the talented husband/wife team of Jahnna Beecham (Playwright/Lyricist) and Malcolm Hillgartner (Composer/Lyricist) and based on the play by Barbara Robinson, THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER: THE MUSICAL is filled with catchy,'60s-inspired original music and a delightful story that both young and old will enjoy. The horrible Herdmans are the worst kids in the history of the world. The entire town panics when these rowdy six siblings are cast in the church's annual Christmas pageant. It's up to good-hearted Mrs. Bradley to help the Herdmans - and the rest of the town - discover the true meaning of Christmas before it's too late. Silent night? Cleveland Play House (CPH) engages the audience's imagination as the epic adventure of An Iliad brings life to 54 characters through a single poet and her muse, a cellist. Performances take place in the Outcalt Theatre at Playhouse Square from January 12th through February 10th, 2019.  Featuring a heroic sound, with original composition by cellist Eva Rose Scholz-Carlson, actress Tarah Flanagan performs as The Poet in this adaptation of Homer's work, written by Lisa Peterson and Denis O'Hare.

Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans, continues its 2018-19 season with Mansfield Park, written by Kate Hamill, based on the novel by Jane Austen, and directed by Stuart Carden. Mansfield Park runs November 8 - December 16, 2018 at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd in Skokie. The press opening is scheduled for Today, November 16, 2018 at 8pm.

Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3 has announced a special event - THROW ME ON THE BURNPILE AND LIGHT ME UP, an 80-minute solo show written and performed by Lucy Alibar and directed by Neel Keller.  BURNPILE will have 3 performances only - Thursday, December 6; Friday, December 7; and Saturday, December 8 - all at 7pm at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street).
