Producer Jeffrey Seller, Johnson Financial Group Broadway at the Marcus Center and Broadway Across America-Milwaukee announced today that single tickets for HAMILTON will go on sale to the public Tuesday, September 10 at 10:00 AM CT at Ticketmaster.com or in person at the Marcus Performing Arts Center (929 N. Water Street) at 8:00 AM CT.  Tickets will be available for performances October 22 a?" November 17, 2019. 

Legendary designer and teacher Jane Greenwood will be honored with the Ming Cho Lee Lifetime Achievement Award bestowed by the Henry Hewes Design Awards at the 55th annual luncheon ceremony October 7 in New York.

The Tank will present its 2019-20 season at 312 West 36th Street in its 98-seat proscenium and 56-seat blackbox spaces. This season marks The Tank's 2nd anniversary in its home on West 36th Street and embodies the company's mission to break down economic barriers and invest in emerging artists by sustaining an incubator and home for the creation and presentation of their work.

Following its Tony-nominated hit Broadway run seen by tens of thousands, Tony Award winner John Leguizamo's one-man play Latin History for Morons will play Boston's historic Emerson Colonial Theatre on Thursday, November 7 and Friday, November 8, 2019 at 8pm.

The Public Theatre announced today an additional performance of HERCULES will be added on September 4th, 2019 at 8 PM. Tickets will be made available via three different methods.

The Bushwick Starr will kick off its 2019-20 Season with Waterboy and the Mighty World, a new piece created by Justin Hicks, Kenita Miller-Hicks, and Jade Hicks, the husband-wife-sister trio The HawtPlates (690 Wishes at JACK and PS122). The group features Justin Hicks, composer/performer from Lynn Nottage's Mlima's Tale (The Public Theater), Empire State Works in Progress (The Whitney Museum), and Shasta Geaux Pop(The Highline) among others.

While the name Walt Disney will certainly be familiar to all those arriving at the Delacorte for Public Works' stage adaptation of the 1997 animated musical feature Hercules, hopefully a good deal of them will leave Central Park remembering the name Lear deBessonet.

Patrick Page stopped by Public Works' Hercules this weekend, and posed for a photo with fellow Hades, Roger Bart. Page plays Hades in Hadestown, while Bart plays the role of the same name in Hercules.

Eleven world premiere plays and musicals seen first by Chicago audiences were among those receiving nominations by the Jeff Awards, announced today. A total of 192 nominations were made in 34 categories that honor Chicago Equity theatrical productions that opened between August 1, 2018 and July 31, 2019. During the 2018-19 season, Jeff Awards judges attended opening nights of 132 Equity productions offered by 43 producing organizations and from these openings, 112 productions were a?oeJeff Recommendeda?? and eligible for award nominations.

A new stage adaptation of the Disney classic film HERCULES is currently running (for just seven nights!) through September 8th at The Delacorte Theater in Central Park.

Kansas City Repertory Theatre (KCRep), announced the full schedule for this season's popular Monday Night Playwright Series, which opened with BURIED ROOTS, its first play of the series, on Monday. The series features a line-up of new and returning playwrights including Michelle Tyrene Johnson, Darren Canady, James Still, Migdalia Cruz, Mashuq Mushtaq Deen and Ellen McLaughlin. These free public events take place on the UMKC campus at the Spencer Theatre Donor Lounge.

Ars Nova announces casting for the world premiere of Dr. Ride's American Beach House by Liza Birkenmeier, a 2014-2015 alum of Ars Nova's Play Group. Directed by Katie Brook, this queer femme play explores sexual politics, power, and repression between three friends in 1983.

The Marsh San Francisco adds two free performances of Brian Copeland's The Waiting Period, due to ongoing support from a GoFundMe campaign and generous corporate contributions from Summit Bank, Clint Reilly Associates, The Handlery Hotel Union Square in San Francisco, and Fremont Bank, OSIsoft, and Galvan and Associates in San Leandro.

Winner of five Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Fun Home opens The Encore Musical Theatre Company's 12th season and will run Sept. 12-Oct. 13, 2019. Described as 'A Family Tragicomic,' Fun Home was written by cartoonist Alison Bechdel, best known for her long-running comic strip 'Dykes to Watch Out For.' Named the Best Book of 2006 by Time magazine, Fun Home was adapted into a musical by Lisa Kron and Jeanine Tesori (Shrek, Violet, Thoroughly Modern Millie) and opened on Broadway in 2015 after a sold-out Off-Broadway run at the Public Theater in 2013.
