Broadway Press Agent Bob Ullman Passes Away at 97

Robert ('Bob') Ullman (left), the legendary theatre press agent, whose career included Ethel Merman and Mary Martin: Together on Broadway, A Chorus Line (from workshop to Public Theater to Broadway), Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne in The Visit, Lauren Bacall in Cactus Flower, The Dining Room, Driving Miss Daisy, Sunday in the Park with George, and over 150 additional Broadway and off-Broadway plays and musicals, died on July 31, 2019 in Bayshore, Long Island, New York. He was 97. The cause of death was cardiac arrest. Bob's death was announced by Rev. Joshua Ellis, a long-time Ullman friend, a former Broadway press agent, and now, an Interspiritual minister.

(Jewish country folk) record, a collaboration with Tim Crouch, fiddle and mandolin player extraordinaire, who will be joining her onstage for the engagement alongside his brother, renowned bassist Dennis Crouch.

Dressed only from the waist up and the ankles down, Truscott (still) stars in this sex-positive, seriously funny, unflinching, and nuanced show about rape culture, but will now be joined by cast members Jenn Kidwell (Underground Railroad Game) and Mari Moriarty (Jet of Blood). The Lark Announces 2019-20 New Voices Fellows

The Lark has announced that playwrights Xavier Galva and Ife Olujobi have been selected as the recipients of the 2019-20 New Voices Fellowship, supported by the Jerome Foundation. This year long residency is designed to support extraordinary playwrights of color under 30, in order to to help address the lack of inclusion of early career playwrights of color in the field. The Fellowship includes a cash award of $15,000, plus a $3,000 Opportunity Fund for the purposes of research, travel, or other expenses, as well as access to The Lark's artistic resources and support. The New Voices program is part of a portfolio of Fellowships at The Lark, which aims to engage a diverse community of playwrights from around the world, at various places in their careers.
