Bless our souls! The beloved Disney classic Hercules is getting a stage adaptation courtesy of The Public Theater! The production runs from August 31st to September 8th at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra and Conductor John Morris Russell welcome Renée Elise Goldsberry, winner of the Best Featured Actress Tony Award for her portrayal of Angelica Schuyler in the smash hit musical, Hamilton. Making her Cincinnati Pops debut, Goldsberry will perform three concerts with the Pops on September 13, 14, and 15, opening the Pops' 2019-20 season at Music Hall.

Crowded Fire Theater (CFT), known as a vital home for new play development and production on the West Coast, announced Ard, Keiko Shimosato Carreiro, Everett Elton Bradman, Erin Gilley, and Ashley Smiley as the fourth year IGNITE FUND awardees. The IGNITE FUND awards $10,000 in total annually to support the growth of and enhance the working lives of Bay Area theater designers and technicians through a competitive grant process.

Good Mood Records will celebrate the vocalist and songwriter NORA YORK with the album Swoon, featuring unreleased, never-before-heard compositions and interpretations of pop classics, onFriday, October 4. The posthumous release is produced by and features her collaborator Jamie Lawrence. York, hailed as “an ingenious, radical, extravagant talent” by The New Yorker and “singer-songwriter-truthteller” by The Village Voice, was renowned for her soulful voice and hypnotic stage presence, in addition to her original songs and thought-provoking musical juxtapositions of contemporary jazz and pop music. Swoon, which features artwork by Nora's husband and artistic collaborator Jerry Kearns, will be available on all digital and streaming platforms, and on CD from CD Baby. A tribute concert will be held at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater, on Monday, October 7 at 7:00 PM.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the cast and creative team for the West Coast premiere of White Noise written by Pulitzer Prize winner Suzan-Lori Parks and directed by Jaki Bradley.
