Like most people in the world, quarantine threw me for a loop. What do I do with all this free time? For the first time in years, no rehearsals, auditions, or classes were inked on my calendar.

The Seeing Place is presenting a virtual production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM.

While the live-performance season is on hold nationwide, The Seeing Place continues to produce great plays by distinguished playwrights. Up next is an online reading of DUTCHMAN, a one-act drama by Amiri Baraka (produced and published in 1964 under the playwright's original name LeRoi Jones).

To kick off its landmark 10th Season, The Seeing Place announces its world premiere adaptation of George Orwell's dystopian novel, ANIMAL FARM. This play is being performed by an ensemble of just four actors, which results in a fast-paced, tightly drawn interpretation of this timely story.

Goodwill Cultural Ambassador Ronald Rand, recently returned from performing at Nairobi's National Theatre in The Kenya International Theater Festival, will celebrate his 20th year of touring, performing his celebrated solo play, LET IT BE ART! in a special performance presented by Tennessee Valley Art Association (TVAA) at The Ritz Theatre's Ritz Studio in Sheffield, Alabama on February 29th.

Performing in his 25th country, Goodwill Cultural Ambassador Ronald Rand will represent the United States at the Kenya International Theatre Festival, during his 20th year touring around the world in his celebrated solo play, LET IT BE ART! as Harold Clurman, 'the elder statesman of the American Theatre' on November 3rd in Nakuru at the Nakuru Players Theatre, and on November 5th at the Kenya National Theatre in Nairobi.

Goodwill Cultural Ambassador Ronald Rand will represent the United States, performing in his internationally celebrated solo play, LET IT BE ART! bringing to life Harold Clurman, 'the elder statesman of the American Theatre in the Colombo International Theater Festival, in Colombo, Sri Lanka on August 4th.

Murder on the Orient Express is a performance filled with excitement, colorful characters and plot that opens up to the audience bit by bit, just at right times. The performance doesn't leave you could though Suomenlinna could, but surely gets you on an emotional ride if you are just willing to take the train.

All in all, FOMO was a great show and the actors' work in this was anything but lazy. The storyline focuses on the variance of the happenings of the life of the youth that actually deepening into any of them intensively, which is a good choise. The Youth of the Group theatre enjoy being on a stage without a doubt, and so they're enjoyable to watch too!

The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF), the not-for-profit foundation of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), will host a conversation entitled 'Producing Theatre for an Ageless Audience', moderated by Linda Hartzell, SDC Foundation Trustee and Artistic Director Emerita of Seattle Children's Theatre, with luminary directors Mark Brokaw and Marcia Milgrom Dodge and playwright Timothy Allen McDonald on Monday May, 20, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 PM at SDC, 321 W. 44th St., Suite 804.

The team behind 2016's acclaimed production of Tennessee Williams' rarely-seen Kingdom of Earth, is back - this time, with Williams' Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece, A Streetcar Named Desire. Jack Heller directs Susan Priver (down-on-her-luck showgirl Myrtle in Kingdom of Earth, LA Weekly award-winning The Lover by Harold Pinter) as Blanche DuBois and Max E. Williams (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., numerous productions with Elephant Theatre Company) as Stanley Kowalski in a visiting production at the Odyssey Theatre presented by Dance On Productions in association with Linda Toliver and Gary Guidinger. Passions flare and cultures collide in the sultry streets of New Orleans beginning May 25, with performances continuing though July 7.

The Seeing Place Theater, known for intense & intimate ensemble work, concludes its 9th Season with two compelling plays running in rotating repertory: THE MAIDS by Jean Genet involves two sisters, enslaved maids to a wealthy society woman, who act out fantasies of class, love and revenge while the lady of the house is out on a romantic rendezvous. MEASURE FOR MEASURE by William Shakespeare involves a young novice nun who is compromised by a corrupt official - who offers to save her brother from execution in return for sex. When she threatens to expose him, he tells her that no one would believe her.

The Seeing Place Theater, known for intense & intimate ensemble work, continues its 9th Season with two compelling short plays in one evening of theater: A NUMBER by Caryl Churchill is a beguiling hour-long psychological thriller that blends the controversial topic of cloning with a stunning portrait of the relationship between a father and his sons. 'NIGHT, MOTHER by Marsha Norman is an eloquent, enthralling and ultimately shattering short play that explores the final hour in the life of a young woman who has decided that life is no longer worth living.

The Collective NY is excited to announce their sixth annual ten minute play series, C:10, on the heels of a highly successful and extended run at NYC's oldest continuously running off-Broadway theater, Cherry Lane. The Collective NY's C:10 is a compilation of 14 different ten minute plays with 44 actors.

All in all 9 good reasons to live is very touching story full of representations of various hapless fates of lives. The play doesn't feed information but leaves space for audiences imagination and own thoughts and interpretations. A possibility to see her own self.
