San Francisco Ballet has announced Principal Dancer Sasha De Sola and Soloist Julia Rowe as the inaugural fellows of Raising Leaders, SF Ballet’s newest artist development initiative offering selected company dancers individually tailored curriculum to support their growth as future leaders of ballet beyond the stage.

Hope Muir, Joan and Jerry Lozinski Artistic Director of The National Ballet of Canada, have announced the 2024/25 season dancer roster featuring six new dancers and seven RBC Apprentices.

Chloe Misseldine has been promoted to the rank of Principal Dancer with American Ballet Theatre. The promotion, effective immediately, was announced by ABT Artistic Director Susan Jaffe on stage at the Metropolitan Opera House following the matinee performance of Swan Lake. The sold-out performance marked Misseldine’s New York debut as Odette/Odile.

New York City Ballet has announced that David Gabriel, Alec Knight, and Jules Mabie have been promoted to Soloist.  The promotions were made on Saturday, June 1 by NYCB Artistic Director Jonathan Stafford and Associate Artistic Director Wendy Whelan, following the Company’s matinee performance of George Balanchine’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

English National Ballet’s Emerging Dancer award returned to Sadler’s Wells after a two year absence, with a unique opportunity for the most junior members of the company to shine. Houston Contemporary Dance Company will present Electrostatic Attraction to continue their 5th Season. This concert will include a world premiere by Houston Ballet Demi Soloist, Jack Wolff and a new solo created by Andrea Dawn Shelley on founding company member Genene Walis McGrath.

Maine State Ballet revives one of its favorite classics, CINDERELLA, in an elegant and ageless production with the choreography of Linda MacArthur Miele and the design wizardry of Gail Csoboth.  The production, grounded in the Balanchine tradition in which Miele was nurtured, is eloquent in its disarming simplicity of narrative and timeless traditionalism of its dance.  Set to Serge Prokofiev’s stirring score, Miele’s eighty minutes of dance offers an afternoon of enchantment.
