Join the musical comedy ensembleCaptain Smartypants (CSP) for their unique take on brotherhood, featuring hits from the Doobie Brothers, the Osmonds, the Jacksons, plus the brothers Grimm and Gibb. With medleys, mashups, and a mini musical, these outrageously hilarious musical funnymen will roast and toast, prance and dance. Original songs like 'Straight Guy Hug,' as well as Elton John's 'Daniel' and the Hollies' 'He Ain't Heavy' are used to relay both touching and hilarious tales from the boys' own life experiences, including those awkward locker room moments and the beloved big brother (both real and imagined).

Paradise Theatre announces seven family-friendly and diverse musicals for its 2015-2016 Season as they launch capital campaign 'Act Local' to save the arts on the Peninsula by creating a new performing arts and education center in Gig Harbor.

For its 2015-16 season, The Drawing Center has developed two multi-evening events for its newly renovated galleries that demonstrate the institution's increased focus on the intersections between drawing, sound, and performance-based art. Billy Martin and String Noise (Conrad Harris and Pauline Kim) will curate the two Drawing Sound performances in July and September of 2015, respectively.

Quintessence Theatre, Philadelphia's only all-classical repertory theatre, announces its sixth season of progressive classics.

"This season is going to be an adventure set to music," says Vicki Richards, Executive Artistic Director of Paradise Theatre, Gig Harbor's only live theater and performing arts education center, "as we launch an entire season of musicals along with our capital campaign, 'Act Local'.  

Point Park University's Conservatory Theatre Company will present five productions in the 2015-2016 season, ranging from classic works of theatre to popular, contemporary, Tony Award-winning musicals.

Autumn 2015 will see the Everyman & Playhouse collaborating with some of the greatest theatre makers in the country. The season begins with Simon Armitage's The Odyssey: Missing Presumed Dead, directed by Associate Director Nick Bagnall, a co-production with English Touring Theatre.

Project: Project, Boston's ensemble-created theatre troupe, presents Shiver: A Fairytale of Anxious Proportions1, combining the worlds of academia, fairytale and the 1800's. The production runs tonight, June 18 - 28 at Boston Playwrights' Theatre (949 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston).
