Coast to Coast Music Theatre & Voice Intensive has announced its second session to take place this summer, July 22nd through July 27th, 2019 in Tualatin, Oregon at Bridgeport Church.

According to Deadline, Tony nominated actress Hailey Kilgore is set for a recurring role on NBC's THE VILLAGE. The series is a drama that comes from Mike Daniels. Details on Kilgore's role is still yet to be announced. 

On January 5th and 6th,  2019, Mar del Plata will host the artists Jesica Terry and Valeria Llaneza who will be coaching the "Intensive Broadway Vision" workshop. 

American actress Johnetta Eula'Mae Ackles makes her professional stage debut in Martin McDonagh's A Very Very Very Dark Matter at the Bridge Theatre, playing the captive Congolese woman who supplies writer Hans Christian Andersen with all his stories. 

With the holiday season fast approaching Arena Stage is readying their annual Gold Standard Musical. This year it's the classic ship shape Cole Porter musical from 1934, Anything Goes. The production begins performances on November 2nd and plays through December 23rd in the Fichandler space.

The world premiere of Martin McDonagh's A Very Very Very Dark Matter at the Bridge Theatre is directed by Matthew Dunster. The cast comprises Johnetta Eula'Mae Ackles, Alistair Benson, Elizabeth Berrington, Paul Bradley, Noah Brignull, Jim Broadbent, Phil Daniels, Regan Garcia, Leo Hart, Graeme Hawley, Audrey Hayhurst, Kundai Kanyama, Lee Knight, Jamie McKie, Ryan Pope, James Roberts, Alice Selwyn, Austin Taylor, Amelia Walter and Annabelle Westenholz-Smith including nine children who will alternate a variety of roles. The 12-week run will conclude on 6 January 2019. The London Theatre Companyproduction is designed by Anna Fleischle with lighting by Philip Gladwell, music compositions by James Maloney, sound by George Dennis, special effects by Paul Wanklin and video effects by Finn Ross.

From October 16th-21st, North Carolina Theatre will be opening their 2018-19 season with a production of Lin-Manuel Miranda & Quiara Alegria Hudes' 2008 award-winning musical, In the Heights, at the Raleigh Memorial Auditorium. I was recently able to get in touch with two of the cast members, Genny Lis Padilla and David Guzman.

After premiering in Los Angeles this past spring to a sold out run, Rag Head returns to the stage. The show explores Sikhs and xenophobia in a post 9/11 America. Inspired by actual events, Sundeep Morrison's one woman show, RAG HEAD, addresses hate, hope and American identity. The four week run begins September 20th - October 14th at The Complex Hollywood - 6476 Santa Monica Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90038.

I remember the first time I saw Disney's Aladdin in the movie theatre as a kid. I was only 4 years old, and I was both mystified, entertained, in love with the music, and terrified. So much wrapped up into one movie! A street rat who at heart is a really good guy, but just a little lost and trying to find his place in the world. A princess who teaches us that all the money and comforts in the world don't necessarily bring you joy and that we should always stand up for ourselves. A Genie who grants wishes and ultimately earns his freedom. An evil sorcerer and his trusted sidekick who want nothing more than to rule the world and destroy anyone in their path. But also, there's amazing music and lots of dancing. How could you NOT love this story?!

A premiere concert of the brand new song cycle NIGHTS AT THE PIANO by Svetlana Orel is coming to the Duplex Cabaret Theatre on October 18th. The four characters of the show sing about love, identity and coming-of-age troubles of the young performers living in New York City.

Columbia Children's Theatre (CCT), the Midlands only professional theatre for families and young audiences will present IndigoSoul's new musical fable Shine for one free performance on Friday, October 5th at 7:00 pm.
