It's been a quiet year at The Contemporary Theater Company, but this summer that is all going to change. With shows up to six nights a week on their outdoor patio, The Contemporary Theater Company is living up to their motto of “here to play.'

The Contemporary Theater Company is not letting this pandemic stop them from reaching their long-term goals. This includes expanding the leadership team and naming a new Artistic Director, Tammy Brown.

The Contemporary Theater Company is approaching the triumphant conclusion of a very successful production of Hamlet with one last trick up their sleeve. The recently announced final performance on Thursday, November 21 will be entirely lit by candlelight.

Instead, it uses the story of Lizzie Borden and Lo, a young woman with a tragic and somewhat iconic past, to explore the nature of destiny, reality, and how one gets caught up in a narrative.

Cure. - a special theatrical event held on Wednesday, February 6, that featured classic film hits as sung by local performers at The Village Theater at Cherry Hill - was a sell-out success with a capacity crowd of 400 patrons. The show raised over $20,000 for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life Canton-Plymouth.
