Award-Winning Television Director John Erman Has Passed Away at Age 85

Noted television director and producer John Erman, who directed episodes of many of the great television shows and TV movies and mini-series from the early sixties all the way into the 2000’s, died in New York on June 25th after a brief illness.

Stratford Festival to Begin Performances in July

The Ontario government has issued its guidance for attendance at outdoor performing arts events, paving the way for the opening of the Stratford Festival’s 2021 season. According to these guidelines, the Stratford Festival will be able to accommodate 100 people (or 25% capacity) in each of its new outdoor canopies.

Huisvrouwen Bestaan Niet is familie van de gelijknamige bioscoophit uit 2017. De comedy was dat jaar de best bezochte film van het jaar en kreeg een nominatie voor een Gouden Kalf. Huisvrouwen Bestaan Niet is geïnspireerd op de columns van Sylvia Witteman, Richard Kemper en Geert Lageveen hebben het script bewerkt voor de nieuwe theater comedy.

As Seattle's annual Pride celebrations get underway, the Museum of Pop Culture will open the touring exhibition Rise Up: Stonewall and the LGBTQ Rights Movement beginning June 26. Rise Up explores the cultural transformation that propelled an underground movement into an intrinsic element of who we are as a nation.

NKU Virtual Dance Concert to Feature New Works by Guest Artists

Northern Kentucky University's School of the Arts will be streaming Dance '21, a dance concert highlighting new works by guest artists, faculty, and students. Eleven dynamic dances will add up to an evening of concert pieces that highlight various genres of dance. The production will be available to watch for free at the Dance ’21 website.
