Buddy Handleson, star of the Nickelodeon sitcoms, Bella and the Bulldogs and Wendell and Vinnie, sat down with veteran stage director Trace Oakley to talk about the transition from TV to stage.

'Always, Patsy Cline' is the hit show with songs made famous by the legendary country singer. It's on stage at The Media Theatre June 15 to July 2, starring Broadway's Jenny Lee Stern. Performaces are Thursday nights at 7:30pm, Friday and Saturday nights at 8pm, and Sundays at 3pm.

Having emceed the popular summer singing competition for several years, Serio opened the year's event once again. With her warm, welcoming spirit and terrific connection to the enthusiastic audience, Serio said the night's show was 'Astonishing'. 

Pressure can be defined as 'the stress or urgency of matters demanding attention'. Nothing demanded more attention to 25 young singers Wednesday night July 30 more than 'The Vocalist' contest at The Media Theatre. They knew at the end of the night only 15 would return for the 'Vocalist' finals on August 6.

The Vocalist competition started up Wednesday night July 9 at The Media Theatre, with a vibrant audience, a charming emcee, pleasant judges, and lots of aspiring young performers. Delaware County's premiere vocal contest is produced and organized by Media Music Theatre Company.

The Media Theatre's summer singing contests "The Vocalist" (starting July 9) and its Junior counterpart (begins July 13) will have a popular husband and wife team emceeing the weekly event. FOX-TV's morning anchor Sue Serio returns for her fifth summer with "The Vocalist" and Bill Vargus returns to emcee the "Junior" version of the competition. Previously titled "Delco Idol", the contest will be sponsored by Iron Workers Bank of Media and Aston.

The young actors and performers at Media Music Theatre Company will be involved in their favorite activity all summer long highlighting talents in Camp Media Theatre, Disney's classic "Cinderella", the legendary "Fiddler On The Roof", and the annual singing competition "The Vocalist". Monty Python's insanely funny musical 'SPAMALOT' based on their popular comedy classic flick 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail' continues at The Media Theatre through November 3.

John Cleese has done it. Bob Costas has done it. Oprah has not-yet, though she may want to. Now local celebrities and personalities are going to do it. And they will henceforth and forevermore be known as The Voice of God. At least in Delaware County, where Monty Python's 'Spamalot' is at The Media Theatre September 25 - November 3, 2013.

Broadway's original 'Annie', the Tony nominated Andrea McArdle, is on the boards at The Media Theatre this spring in the classic Jerry Herman musical 'Mame' April 17-May 19. The show focuses on Auntie Mame, the eccentric socialite who finds out she must care for her young nephew, forever changing her-and his-outlook on life. Songs include 'Open A New Window', 'Bosom Buddies', and 'We Need A Little Christmas'. Comedienne Lea DeLaria portays Mame's best pal Vera in Director Jesse Cline's revival of the hit.

A world of independent film comes to "Everybody's Hometown" as the 6th Annual Media Film Festival prepares to screen outstanding work by local, national and international filmmakers. The 2 day festival takes place Friday, April 5th and Saturday April 6th at the Media Borough Community Center, 3rd and Monroe Streets. Sponsored by the Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union, the Media Film Festival is a juried presentation of outstanding narrative, documentary, animated and experimental films. Admission is $10.
