Media Theatre's "Delco Idol" contest begins tonight, July 11 at 7pm, with the "Junior" competition starting up Sunday July 15 at 7pm. Each continues for a total of five weeks. Five or more contestants are eliminated each week until the finals, when 20 singers will try for the 2012 title in each contest. Iron Workers Bank is the sponsor for the third summer.

Gurney's play "Love Letters" through March 4. The play focuses on just two characters who read the notes, letters, and cards which express their dreams and disappointments that have passed between them throughout their lives-although they have been physically apart for nearly fifty years. The annual award, named after the entrepreneur who revitalized the theatre in 1994 so that a professional music theatre would be a cornerstone of Media borough, will be given to Mulvey prior to the celebratory evening's concert by legendary Tony nominee Andrea McArdle. The honor is given to an individual who keeps the spirit of Mr. Strine alive with their consistent support and advocacy of The Media Theatre.
