New Diorama announces that it will present no public programme for the rest of the year.

Previews have just begun at the Stratford Festival's Studio Theatre for the World Premiere of HAMLET-911 and BroadwayWorld had the opportunity to speak with one of the creative forces behind this innovative and exciting new production. BWW chatted with HAUI over zoom about art, the exploration the abstract over a narrative, process vs product, and what audiences can expect from the projections in this new production.

Samuel French’s Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival has announced that Joshua Harmon is this year’s honorary festival playwright. This year’s top 30 playwrights were chosen from over 650 submissions around the world. They will present their plays during a week-long festival August 16-20 at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater in New York City.

Hamlet-911, a brand new play by famed Canadian author Ann-Marie MacDonald, begins previews at the Stratford Festival’s Studio Theatre on Thursday, July 28.

The World premiere of Grant MacDermott’s play JASPER off-Broadway, directed by Katie McHugh will begin on September 8 in advance of its opening night on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center

The Warner Theatre will present its 11th Annual International Playwrights Festival held in the Warner's Nancy Marine Studio Theatre October 14 & 15, 2022 at 8 pm. 

The OC-centric New Play Festival returns live onstage and on the web this summer. OC-centric, which was awarded the honor of Orange County's 'Best New Play Festival' by the OC WEEKLY, is the only theatre festival devoted to new works from dramatists who live in or hail from Orange County.

The long running hit, The Play That Goes Wrong has a whole lotta changes going on and is celebrating a few milestones. It plays at New World Stages. Beginning Monday July 25, Chris Lanceley takes over the role of Chris Bean, Chris French goes on as Jonathan, and Russell Mernagh temporarily joins the company in the role of Max until August 22.

Shakespeare & Company has announced the cast of Measure for Measure by William Shakespeare - to be staged at the Tina Packer Playhouse at the Shakespeare & Company campus, from August 19 through September 18. 

Rock & Roll Reignited, one of Florida Studio Theatre’s current summer cabaret offerings, has been touring the country since 2016, breathing new life to some of the greatest hits of the ’50’s and ’60’s.

Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater presents Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus, by Taylor Mac. Performances are Tuesdays through Saturdays, July 29 - August 19 at 8:00 p.m. on the Julie Harris Stage.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre announced the full cast and creative team for the world premiere musical, Goddess. The musical stage production is conceived and directed by Saheem Ali, music and lyrics by Michael Thurber, and written by Jocelyn Bioh. Previews begin Saturday, August 13, and the show runs through Sunday, September 25.

Atlantic Theater Company has announced productions for its 2022-2023 season. Atlantic’s 2022-2023 season will include the world premiere musical Cornelia Street, with a book by Tony Award winner Simon Stephens, music and lyrics by Mark Eitzel, directed by Tony Award nominee Neil Pepe and more.

But there is a third party in the relationship that may destroy their union. Every night a shadowy monster called The Form seeps from the walls of Anna's apartment and tries to kill her. This play anthropomorphizes depression and explores how mental illness can devastate a person and the lives of those around them.

Florida Studio Theatre (FST) presents New York State of Mind – All the Hits of Billy Joel With The Uptown Boys, a high-energy music revue created by Broadway veterans with over 40 years of cumulative experience in the industry. Featuring slick choreography and rich harmonies, this new Cabaret weaves together Billy Joel's iconic songbook with the performers' stories of love, life, and trying to make it in New York City.

The New Musicals Lab at Ferguson Center is returning for its fourth season! Continuing with the program's previous success, the New Musicals Lab grants new shows a safe and supportive space to workshop and further develop.

The full programme includes over 100 events across 10 days, ranging from hard-hitting creative reflections on the environment to quiet moments of mindfulness.

The Hermitage Artist Retreat announces a new program presented in partnership with Sarasota Opera featuring the work of Hermitage Fellow Hilan Warshaw, a filmmaker and musician whose work focuses on the lives and works of some of music's most influential figures.

Signature Theatre has announced the cast and creative team for the musical The Color Purple. The cast features Nova Y. Payton (Signature’s After Midnight, Dreamgirls) starring as Celie. Performances run August 16 – October 9, 2022.
