Duluth Playhouse Youth Theatre will bring two fantastic productions to the NorShor Theatre this summer. Featuring the phenomenal talent of over 60 young performers in the Twin Ports area, these shows are the culmination of four weeks of intensive training in acting, singing, and dancing.

Gathering John’s familiar crew of supporting musicians (fiddle wizard Stuart Duncan, keyboardist Jon Carroll, bass player JT Brown, as well as special guest, Country Music Hall of Famer Charlie McCoy), the arrangements are compelling.
“Porches” was composed by Brown and pianist Chris Walters who also wrote the string arrangement. Walters’ credits include stints with JD Souther, Jeff Coffin Mu’tet and Alabama. While many have come to know the banjo in the context of country and bluegrass music, its popularity dates back to late 19th century America.
