The North American Tour of the critically acclaimed, award-winning THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL will make its San Antonio premiere at the Majestic Theatre for four performances, January 24-26. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m., Friday, November 8.

The North American Tour of the critically acclaimed, award-winning THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL will make its premiere at the Thrasher-Horne Center on May 9 & 10, 2020. 

World Series tickets may have been the hottest tickets Tuesday night, but they definitely weren't the only tickets in town. Patron lines at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts stretched across the lobby prior to opening, proof that Andrew Lloyd Webber's cornerstone musical really is 'Now and Forever Cats'.

The National (non-equity) Tour of THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL settled in at the Boch Center's Wang Theatre this week and brought out families and children raised on the beloved Nickelodeon series. Joining a long list of animated shows adapted into Broadway musicals, this one is set apart by the clever collaboration with a wide variety of popular artists who composed individual songs, seamlessly curated, orchestrated, and arranged by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winner Tom Kitt (of Next to Normal). Based on the television series by Stephen Hillenburg, it was conceived and directed by Tina Landau and features a book by Kyle Jarrow, but the eclectic score is the crème de la crème of THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL.

Following a critically lauded run on Broadway, members of the original award-winning Broadway company of The SpongeBob Musical: Live On Stage! will reunite to film the show for television in front of a live theater audience. The live television production will capture all-new depths of theatrical innovation where the power of optimism really can save the world. The SpongeBob Musical: Live On Stage! will air on Nickelodeon this December.

THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL is currently playing at The Bushnell in Hartford, CT, and will next travel to the Overture Center in Madison, WI prior to engagements in Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto and more. Get a first look at the cast in action in the all new video!

Singer, Kimberly Nichole is dropping the first single entitled “The Witch” from her new unreleased album “West Coast Seattle Girl” on Halloween, Thursday, October 31st, 2019. The new single is Kimberly's homage to her life as a night-life, wild child. The song is also a remake of her hometown garage band pioneers, The Sonics', major hit “The Witch” from the 1970s.

Full casting has been announced for the upcoming North American Tour of Nickelodeon's THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL.

The Green Room 42 will present The Carneys, featuring star siblings Reeve Carney, Zane Carney and Paris Carney, for one show only on Sunday, August 25 at 9:30 PM. The family has been making music together their entire lives and will come together in harmony for one night only to perform their original songs in New York.

Beginning August 5, getTV will begin airing episodes of the popular sitcom “Hot in Cleveland,” starring Valerie Bertinelli (“One Day at a Time”), Jane Leeves (“Frasier”), Wendie Malick (“Just Shoot Me”) and Betty White (“The Golden Girls”). Berklee President Roger H. Brown presented an honorary Doctor of Music degree yesterday to acclaimed recording artist Imogen Heap during the commencement ceremony for the master's degree programs at Berklee's campus in Valencia, Spain. In advance of the ceremony, graduate students prepared and performed a medley of her  music in her honor at the commencement concert, held at l'Hemisfèric on Saturday.  

Rubikon returns with their first new album in four years. The Record, out September 16, 2019 on Round Hill Records, brings the band back to the basics, delivering a slew of swampy, hard rocking songs with hook-heavy vocal melodies.  Rubikon is more than a band, it's a brotherhood consisting of five friends that love making music together, and you can hear it shine through with this album.  “There's nothing like locking the band in a room and refusing to come out until we've got  a bunch of tunes to share with the world,” says guitarist Dave Raymond. “We bounced a wide range of ideas off of each other this time around – hard rock, of course, but also more classic-sounding rock, Americana, folk, nothing was off the table – and we are pumped about the album that came out of that process.”

The NMPA SONGS (Supporting Our Next Generation Of Songwriters) Foundation has announced a new partnership with She Is The Music (STIM), a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing the number of women working in music – songwriters, engineers, producers, artists and industry professionals.
