Eric Bogosian Launches Kickstarter Campaign to Finish 100 MONOLOGUES Video Series

Actor/playwright Eric Bogosian just launched a Kickstarter campaign for 100monologues.com, a series of short films which feature a variety of New York-based actors performing monologues from his award-winning solo shows -- Funhouse; Drinking in America; Sex, Drugs, Rock & Roll; Pounding Nails in the Floor with My Forehead; and Wake Up and Smell the Coffee.

Award-winning stage and screen star Stephen Lang brings BEYOND GLORY, his one man show that tells the stories of eight medal of honor recipients, to Houston, TX on Saturday, November 21, 2015. Lang has a long list of notable performances on and off Broadway, in Hollywood, and has taken his stage play BEYOND GLORY across the globe. Lang is best known for portraying Col. Miles Quaritch in James Cameron's AVATAR, Ike Clanton in TOMBSTONE, Increase Mather in the hit television series SALEM, and Commander Nathanial Taylor in TERRA NOVA.

I Have A Dream Foundation to Honor Tony Winner Cicely Tyson

The 'I Have A Dream' Foundation (IHDF) today announced that former New York City Mayor David Dinkins will present legendary actress Cicely Tyson with their Eugene M. Lang Lifetime Achievement Award at the foundation's annual Spirit of the Dream Gala. The foundation will also present a Spirit of a Dream Award to an exemplary alumnus of the program as well as a Corporate Award recognizing a key corporation that has supported the charitable organization. The 2015 Spirit of the Dream Gala will take place on June 9 at Gotham Hall in New York City.

STEPHEN KING'S A GOOD MARRIAGE to be Released 10/3

STEPHEN KING'S A GOOD MARRIAGE is coming out in theaters on October 3, 2014. This is the first feature film screenplay by Stephen King adapted from one of his works in 25 years (last one: 'Pet Sematary' in 1989), and only the 4th one overall (the other two feature films: 'Cat's Eye” in 1985 and “Silver Bullet” in 1986).

Following a celebrated run on Broadway and in Chicago, BEYOND GLORY, starring Stephen Lang, will perform for one night only at the Orpheum Theatre on Saturday, November 22nd. This brilliant one-man show presents the stories of eight veterans from World War II, Korea and Vietnam, rendering firsthand accounts of valor that resulted in the nation's highest military award, the Medal of Honor.

The Flea to Present Stephen Lang in BEYOND GLORY, 6/5-6

The Flea Theater has announced Stephen Lang's BEYOND GLORY. Lang brings the stories of eight Medal of Honor recipients to the stage in this exciting one-man show adapted from Larry Smith's bestselling book, Beyond Glory. As a tribute to fallen soldiers, Lang has performed the show on military bases and on the floor of Congress as well as on Broadway. In the fall of 2013 filming began on a documentary Beyond Glory: Tour of Duty, following Lang as he toured the show throughout the Heartland and to the front lines in Afghanistan and the Middle East. Now he brings the show and the film crew to The Flea, in order to document the play in its entirety.

TCG to Publish 100 MONOLOGUES by Eric Bogosian, May 2014; Website Features Monologues Performed by NYC Actors

Next month TCG Publications will release 100 (Monologues), a collection of all of award-winning writer-actor Eric Bogosian's monologues from the series of acclaimed solo shows he wrote and starred in off-Broadway beginning in the mid '80's. The publication will include monologues by the three-time Obie Award and Drama Desk winner from his solo shows Drinking in America; Sex, Drugs, Rock & Roll; Pounding Nails in the Floor with My Forehead, Wake Up and Smell The Coffee, FunHouse and Men Inside, as well as selections from his play Talk Radio

James Cameron to Finish Three AVATAR Sequels in Six Weeks

As previously announced, James Cameron is working on three sequels for Avatar, which hit the big screen in 2009. On Reddit, Cameron offered an update on his progress. He wrote, 'The second, third and fourth films all go into production simultaneously. They're essentially all in preproduction now, because we are designing creatures, settings, and characters that span all three films. And we should be finished with all three scripts within the next, I would say, six weeks.'
