Open our door. Get on our floor. Everyone come see our dinosaurs!

That's right, The Players' Club of Swarthmore is going back to the pre-historic days bringing dinosaurs to life in our latest musical for our youngest audiences.

Recommended for children age 3 and up, The Dinosaur Musical, with music, book and lyrics by Robert and Willie Reale, the same duo who created A Year With Frog and Toad (coming to PCS, August, 2016), is a family-friendly musical that even those in the audience a little closer to fossilization will adore.

Quincy, a 14-year-old Tyrannosaurus, is finding it hard to follow in the shadow of his father, King Marcus. When the dinosaur kingdom comes together to fight its extinction, Quincy forms an unlikely friendship with a Parasaurolophus, who teaches him the value and power of teamwork.

This interactive play for children, the sixth and final production in this fifth season of the Players Club of Swarthmore Children's Theatre series, is scheduled to run five performances: Friday August 7 at 2 p.m. and two shows each on Saturday August 8 and Sunday August 9 with show times at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. All performances are on the Players Club's Raymond W. Smith Stage on the second floor.

Directed by Mary Leigh Filippone of Wayne, it features several local actors: Zoe Bock of Swarthmore (Mindy); Allison Gerrard of Glen Mills (Mamma Lucredzia), Ryan Goulden (Mr. Glut), Jeff Martin (Reginald Van Cleef) and Brian Walsh (King Marcus/Swifty Levine) all of Drexel Hill; Elizabeth Iannacci of Morton (Genevieve); Evelyn Kampmeyer (Eleanor), John Kampmeyer (Quincy), Stephen Langley (Armando) and Kat Lemon (Carlotta Devries) all of Springfield; Crystal Nielsen of Primos (Mrs. Gapp); and Krystal Royer of Downingtown (Gertrude).

Jackie Langley of Springfield is the music director and Maria Byers of Swarthmore is the choreographer. Alexandra Greene of Bryn Mawr is the assistant director.

Adult tickets are $10.00 each and Children under 12 are $8.00, cash or check only. This show is recommended for ages 3 and up. All tickets are sold at the door on the day of the performance. For more information about this show, visit www.pcstheater.org/site/childrens-theater/the-dinosaur-musical.
