Shot on location in NYC and made entirely by New Yorkers, the award-winning revenge thriller Perfectly Good Moment will play its NYC premiere at the Chelsea Film Festival on Saturday, October 14th at 6:15pm.

The film stars Broadway’s Stephen Carlile (The Lion King) in his cinematic debut and Amanda Jane Stern (1 Angry Black Man, Lifetime's Amish Witches). It marks Stern's first feature screenwriting credit from a story she co-wrote with producer Julian Seltzer (HBO’s DMX: Don't Try to Understand, and House of Hammer for Discovery+).

Sesame Street: The Musical has officially opened Off-Broadway at Theatre Row Theatre. Produced by Rockefeller Productions and Sesame Workshop, Sesame Street: The Musical will run through Thursday, November 27, 2022 with an opening night set for Monday, September 19. Don't Call Me John!, a new musical comedy with an original book by Chris Recker, music by Ben Moss, and lyrics by Tony Oblen, will present industry preview readings on Thursday, June 23 and Friday, June 24 at Open Jar Studios in New York City.  

New York Theatre Barn will present a reading of Everyone Comes to Elaine’s, a new musical about iconic restaurateur Elaine Kaufman with Tony Award® nominee Mary Testa (Oklahoma, The Gardens of Anuncia) in the title role. Bobby Daye (Moulin Rouge, Shrek, The Color Purple) and Michael Kostroff (HBO’s “The Wire”, The Producers) join Testa and the cast.

Directed by Tony nominee Jeff Calhoun (Newsies, Bonnie and Clyde, Big River), the reading will take place on March 4th, 2022, in New York City.

Broadway is officially back with four more musicals triumphantly making their return to the stage last night, September 14. The circle of life continues at the Minskoff Theatre, where the cast of The Lion King took their first bows since March 2020. The Lion King is back on Broadway! Simba himself, Brandon A. McCall, took over our Instagram for the big day on September 14. He gave our followers a behind the scenes look at the show's performance on Good Morning America, their return to Broadway, and most importantly, his Broadway debut!

In celebration of their Broadway return, the cast of The Lion King performed this morning on Good Morning America! The cast began the performance from all across New York City-- from the Brooklyn Bridge to the Statue of Liberty-- and came together at the GMA studio in Times Square to a standing ovation.
