Alice Ripley, Betsy Wolfe & More Set for EMERGING FEMALE COMPOSERS Concert Tonight

On July 15th Sparkification Productions presents An Evening Celebrating Emerging Female Composers: a concert to promote gender parity in musical theatre. The concert will feature the songs of Jennifer Lucy Cook, Shoshana Greenberg, Kathryn Hathaway, Janine McGuire, Julia Meinwald, Nicky Phillips and Sarah M. Underwood with contributions by Carmel Dean, Laura Kleinbaum, Tina Lear, Gordon Leary, Jeffery Dennis Smith, and Stephanie Smith. Performers include Erin Davie, Lesli Margherita, Christiane Noll, Alice Ripley, Krysta Rodriguez, Betsy Wolfe, and more to be announced. The evening features Musical Direction by Mary-­?Mitchell Campbell.

Circle Circle dot dot's THE WARRIORS' DUET Opens Tonight at San Diego Fringe

The Warriors' Duet, based on the work of Laura Jeanne Morefield, and written by Charlene Baldridge, will be directed by Anne Gehman and Katherine Harroff and choreographed by Anne Gehman in its presentation at The San Diego Fringe Festival. Performances will play The 10th Avenue Theatre Cabaret Space, beginning tonight, July 5th at 11am, July 6th at 12:30pm, and July 7th at 5:00pm.

Sierra Boggess and Caissie Levy join the previously announced Erin Davie, Lesli Margherita, Christiane Noll, Alice Ripley, Krysta Rodriguez, and Betsy Wolfe for Sparkification Productions presents An Evening Celebrating Emerging Female Composers: a concert to promote gender parity in musical theatre. The 2009 FREDDY Awards Recipients Announced At The State Theatre 5/21

On May 22, 2003, the State Theatre Center for the Arts made history by becoming the first performing arts center in the country to produce, along with broadcast partner WFMZ Channel 69, a three-hour, live television show to recognize and reward outstanding achievement in local high school musical theater. It was an extraordinary triumph for creator and executive producer Shelley Brown and her dedicated staff. Regional high schools from the Lehigh, Northampton and Warren County, NJ region now had their own TONY®'s - The FREDDY© Awards.
