Sonia Friedman Productions today announces the dates for the RE:EMERGE season as priority booking opens on 15 April at 10.30am, with public booking opening 16 April at 10am.

The Women's Prize for Playwriting opens today for submissions for the 2021 Prize, closing on 12 July at 5pm. The Women's Prize for Playwriting is designed to celebrate and support exceptional playwrights who identify as female by providing them with a national platform.

Multi-award-winning theatrical event Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will resume performances in Melbourne on February 25, after a hiatus of 49 weeks. The landmark production suspended a record-breaking run at Melbourne’s Princess Theatre after public health measures were imposed by the government due to COVID 19.  

In a digital ceremony tonight, the winners of the inaugural The Women’s Prize for Playwriting 2020 were announced. Due to an exceptionally strong field, the judging panel selected two first prize winners: Amy Trigg for REASONS YOU SHOULD(N'T) LOVE ME and Ahlam for YOU BURY ME.

Sonia Friedman Productions today announced that Ian Rickson's production of Conor McPherson's new adaptation of Uncle Vanya has been filmed on stage at the Harold Pinter Theatre in partnership with Angelica Films.

The full original Off-Broadway cast of Jonathan Spector's play Eureka Day will reunite for a one-night only online charity reading, benefitting Colt Coeur and No Kid Hungry. Colt Coeur Founding Artistic Director Adrienne Campbell-Holt returns to direct the event, streaming Friday, May 22 at 8pm on play-perview.com.

Robert Icke's Almeida Theatre production, The Doctor, will now be postponed until 2021. Juliet Stevenson will reprise her role as Professor Ruth Wolff as previously announced, with further casting to be confirmed in due course.
