Season three will come back with eight all-new episodes airing on Sundays, leading to the season finale on September 18. Known for delivering immersive reporting from the frontlines of global conflict, civil uprisings and more, VICE continues to cover groundbreaking stories from its team of global correspondents.

Trinity Repertory Company elected three new members to its Board of Trustees last week for terms beginning July 1: Guillaume Bagal, Lisa Biggs, and Neha Gore Geraghty.  

WHAT I FIRST DESIRED, written by playwright and actor Tyler Martin and directed by Enrique Cavazos, now moves onto a highly anticipated second round of performances this July giving audiences an opportunity to see an extended version of the one-act. WHAT I FIRST DESIRED will return with performances July 1, 6, 8, & 9 @ 7PM ET.

The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater’s 2022 Season at the David H. Koch Theater of Lincoln Center was a joy to behold. After a three-year hiatus, the company once again presented performances from June 15th to June 19th.

What did our critic think of INTO THE WOODS at Arden Theatre Company in Philadelphia? A fresh and innovative take on the Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine classical musical. The acting and vocal delivery from the ensemble cast let the James Lapine book shine through while giving the audience a lavish score that Sondheim would have been elated by.

What did our critic think of Tootsie in Costa Mesa? Despite a still problematic central premise, the non-equity national tour of the stage adaptation of TOOTSIE---now playing at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa through June 12, 2022---is, for the most part, a funny but flawed musical sprinkled with lots of funny lines, rapid-fire humor, and amusing shenanigans.

“You Can’t Stop the Music” as the Village People say and this might have been the mission of the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, DC (GMCW) as they sang their hearts out in esteemed composer Andrew Lippa’s original work entitled Unbreakable.  This East coast premiere by Mr. Lippa (composer of the musicals The Wild Party, Big Fish, and the oratorio I am Harvey Milk) was originally planned for 2020 but thanks to the “unbreakable” GMCW spirit, this fascinating work by Mr. Lippa was finally presented at the Lincoln Theatre.

Aisle Say has seen probably 600 shows in 65 years. Some I have been in, some I produced and directed. The vast majority are those he’s reviewed over 35+ years. However, next week at The Playhouse with a 4-day run of FIDDLER beginning June 9, Aisle Say announces a first! Never before has he heard a Samoan tenor.

Leading the cast will be Katy Williams as Queenie, Christopher Fahmie as Burrs, Keenan J. Harris as Black, and Kristina Jimenez as Kate.

Featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by James Lapine, the show - which explores the journey to the fairy tales' happy ending and the responsibilities that come with happily ever after-will play the F. Otto Haas Stage from tonight, June 2 through July 3, 2022.

Intercultural theatre and arts company Border Crossings will present REMEMBRANCES, a collaborative new dance performance, to the Birmingham 2022 Festival – the biggest celebration of creativity ever in the region and one of the largest ever Commonwealth Games cultural programmes.  This mesmerising dance piece forms part of the company’s ORIGINS Festival, which has been offering a space for Indigenous people to share their cultures in Britain since 2009.  In line with the Commonwealth Games, Border Crossings are partnering with contemporary Indigenous dancer b.solomon//ELECTRIC MOOSE and independent dance company AVA DANCE COMPANY, to ask how we can welcome Indigenous people as visitors to the city, country and land.  Who are we now to welcome you?

Westport Country Playhouse is staging the comic satire, “Straight White Men,” by Young Jean Lee, from now through June 5, directed by Mark Lamos, Playhouse artistic director. The show’s 2018 Broadway run made Lee the first Asian American female playwright to have a work produced there.
