Detroit '67, the final production in the Signature Features 2021 Season is now available for streaming through Thursday, September 16 on Marquee TV.

Inspired in part by August Wilson's 10-play depiction of Pittsburgh life, Dominique Morisseau embarked on a similar ambition reflecting the Motor City in her 'Detroit Project.'

Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre will stage Anna Deavere Smith’s award-winning one-woman play TWILIGHT: LOS ANGELES, 1992 from September 16 – 26, 2021, with Chicago actress Jazzma Pryor portraying nearly four-dozen people who were connected either directly or indirectly to the 1992 Los Angeles riots.

Today’s subject Matthew Gardiner is a prime example of someone living their theatre life to the fullest. While he has directed and choreographed all over town and in Korea as well, by far the bulk of his career has been working at Signature Theatre. Since coming there in 2004, Matthew has either choreographed and or directed some of Signature’s most memorable productions while also serving as the company’s Associate Artistic Director since 2011.

The adaptation is a 90-minute version with a music score excerpted from the 1960's and 70's pop songbook. It is among the first professional live theatre productions in the DC area next month.

The pair will join a cast of Signature favorites in a program of Broadway's greatest hits including “Don't Rain on My Parade,” “I Am What I Am,” “The Schuyler Sisters,” “You'll Never Walk Alone,” and so much more.
