KCAT Announces Cast And Creative Staff For MORNING'S AT SEVEN

Kansas City Actors Theatre has completed casting for its production of Paul Osborn's "Morning's at Seven," which will run from May 22 to June 9 at the City Stage in Union Station. The production will be directed by Dennis Hennessy of The New Theater in Overland Park, and will star Deb Bluford, Greg Butell, Krista Eyler, Peggy Friesen, Jeannine Hutchings, Gary Neal Johnson, Merle Moores, Victor Raider-Wexler, and Mark Robbins (KCAT co-founder). The production will also feature set design by Gary Mosby, costumes by Sarah M. Oliver, lighting design by Shane Rowse, sound design by Jon Robertson, and props from Shawnna Journagan.

The Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre has announced a seven show theatrical season for 2019 that includes the return of the popular Murder! at The Strand franchise, national touring show Little Black Dress, and the internationally touring star of stage and screen Ed Asner in his one man show A Man and His Prostate.

Sundance Institute Names Four New Members of Board of Trustees

Sundance Institute announced today that Jason Blum, Ebs Burnough, Lynette Wallworth and Lisa-Michele Church will join the Institute's Board of Trustees. The new Trustees bring deep experience and broad expertise spanning communications, emerging media, and film production to the Institute's governance, and will work closely with President & Founder Robert Redford, Board Chair Pat Mitchell and Executive Director Keri Putnam.

Showtime to Premiere Season Two of OUR CARTOON PRESIDENT on May 12

SHOWTIME will premiere the second season of its animated comedy series OUR CARTOON PRESIDENT on Sunday, May 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, and will feature an animated appearance from Queer Eye's Jonathan Van Ness. Additionally, SHOWTIME has released the official key art and trailer for season two, which will consist of 10 half-hour episodes.

The Slipper Room Presents Rick Shapiro in RESTLESS

Comedian, poet and author Rick Shapiro is to appear in his own show 'Restless' tonight at the Slipper Room in the Lower East Side. Shapiro, one of the most innovative and surreal comedic talents and a staple of the NYC and LA Underground comedy scene, began his career in the early 1980's performing stand-up at Catch A Rising Star on Broadway.

Jamey Johnson Will Perform At Indian Ranch

Fairfield Center Stage Presents BARNUM

Fairfield Center Stage, an environmental community theater group, will partner with The Barnum Festival and the Fairfield Museum and History Center to present a free outdoor musical-in-concert in downtown Fairfield this June. Featuring local artists and staff from Fairfield County, FCS's annual summer presentation will be 'Barnum', running one weekend only, June 27-29, 2019 at Fairfield Museum Commons at 370 Beach Rd behind Old Town Hall.
