The Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center Foundation will honor Pegasus Transit and David Ralphe with this year's Pillar of the Arts Awards at the Spotlight Awards Ceremony during a dinner and auction event to be held Saturday, May 11 at the Wood Ranch Country Club. The Drama League (Gabriel Stelian-Shanks, Executive Artistic Director) today announced the 2019 Drama League Awards Nominees for Outstanding Production of a Play, Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Production of a Musical, Outstanding Revival of a Musical, and the much-coveted Distinguished Performance Award. The nominations were announced this morning by the current stars of Waitress, Shoshana Bean and Jeremy Jordan, at the official announcement event at Sardi's Restaurant, which was streamed live online here at BroadwayWorld.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts announces casting for the North American tour of the Tony Award-nominated Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof, which will play Segerstrom Hall May 7 - 19, 2019.

The York Theatre Company recently presented its one-night only concert version of the newly re-imagined version of the beloved Broadway hit musical I Do! I Do!, with book and lyrics by Tom Jones and music by Harvey Schmidt, based on the play The Fourposter by Jan De Hartog. York Theatre favorite David Glenn Armstrong (Roadside, Happy Hunting) directed with music direction by David Hancock Turner (York's Desperate Measures).

Florida Repertory Theatre's Education Department is pleased to announce its 2019-2020 season line-up. The Education Department season includes productions in its popular Theatre Conservatory Program, its second offering for the 2020 Junior Theatre Festival, and Theatre for Young Audiences Series, which tours across Southwest Florida to grades K through 12.

The Off-Broadway League today announced nominations in 19 categories - and bestowed one special award - for the 34th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway. The Awards will be handed out on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at NYU Skirball Center for Performing Arts, beginning at 7:00pm EST. The Lucille Lortel Awards are produced by the Off-Broadway League by special arrangement with the Lucille Lortel Theatre Foundation. Additional support is provided by TDF. Beloved and celebrated entertainer, Wayne Brady, will emcee the ceremony.

It was a happy time at Cafe Centro last night. Danny Bacher brought his Jazz, Vocals, and Comedy to the Cabaret and joined forces with the Michael Masci trio. Danny has all the talents to perfectly pay homage to the three musician entertainers he celebrated in his show….Louis Armstrong, Louis Prima, and Louis Jordan. Danny plays 'happy music' and his enthusiasm and joy transferred to the Cafe Centro audience. As they say, 'the joint was jumpin', with Michael on piano, Paul Shewchuck on bass, and Cielo Blue, drums.

The Blue Card, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to aiding Holocaust survivors, will feature a performance from members of the cast of the critically-acclaimed, Off-Broadway show Fiddler of the Roof in Yiddish at its 83rd benefit gala this Monday, April 8, 2019.
