The award-winning Vital Theatre Company is pleased to announce the return of Angelina Ballerina The Very Merry Holiday Musical, with book and lyrics by Susan DiLallo, music by Ben Morss, and direction and choreography by Sam Viverito. Hailed as 'a great holiday treat for your family to enjoy' in its premiere production (NYC Single Mom), the festive musical is based on the famous dancing mouseling and her friends created by Katharine Holabird and illustrated by Helen Craig.

Marsha Norman, who won a Pulitzer Prize for Drama for 'Night Mother, took home Tony and Drama Desk Awards in 1991 for a?oeBest Book of a Musicala?? for The Secret Garden. With music by Lucy Simon, The Secret Garden is based on the 1911 classic children's literature novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett. And while it's tagged as a?oechildren'sa?? literature, The Secret Garden is not your typical light-hearted, happy-go-lucky matinee outing for the kids.

In January, The Studio Theatre Tierra del Sol (806 San Marino Drive, The Villages, FL) will open its third production of its fourth season, the five-time Tony Award winning musical, Assassins.

Long Beach Opera announces Yuval Sharon will serve as the company's Interim Artistic Advisor, who will work together with LBO leadership to plan LBO's 2021 season. Sharon will curate the 2021 season, including selecting the operas, productions, and artistic teams. He will also participate as director for one of the season productions.

An awe-inspiring evening of mentorship and musicianship awaits as two special guest artists join the Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) Symphony Orchestra for a performance of Brahms' Double Concerto at the upcoming Winter Concert. Both principal musicians of Pacific Symphony, Dennis Kim (concertmaster) and Warren Hagerty (recently appointed principal cello) also have a connection to OCSA.

North Raleigh Arts & Creative Theatre (NRACT) is proud to present the holiday comedy Fruitcakes, by Julian Wiles. This family-friendly play is just the recipe for a fun-filled and touching evening of holiday cheer. Jamie, a kid who has run away from home, at first thinks the town's inhabitants are nuttier than fruitcakes but soon he comes to admire, appreciate, and adore this quirky little town. A moving story of alienation, understanding and reconciliation, Fruitcakes provides audiences with a heaping helping of holiday warmth and Christmas cheer.

With a globetrotting 20-year career renowned for being a voice for the people across four decades of political and societal upheaval from the late '90s to today, Antibalas celebrates its 20th Anniversary with a stark return to their Williamsburg roots on its latest Daptone Records studio album, Fu Chronicles (Release Date: February 7, 2020). Pre-gentrified Williamsburg serves as the backdrop for Fu Chronicles -- voyaging back to the early days of when Antibalas and revered soul label Daptone Records spawned out of lead singer Duke Amayo's kung fu dojo. A senior master of the Jow Ga Kung Fu School of martial arts, Duke Amayo along with Antibalas founder/baritone saxophonist Martín Perna guide listeners through an epic journey of where kung fu ingeniously intersects with Afrobeat on Fu Chronicles.

BroadwayCon announced today BEETLEJUICE has joined the MainStage lineup at BroadwayCon 2020. As part of MainStage programming, the BEETLEJUICE Spotlight session will feature members of the cast on Saturday, January 25, 2020. Additional MainStage programming will be announced at a later date. Extreme Makeover: Home Edition—the world's biggest, most transformative, inspirational and aspirational home show ever—is coming back to television with 10 new episodes on HGTV. In 2020, viewers will witness the full power of massive, community-led home transformations each week, beginning with the premiere episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on Sunday, Feb. 16, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

According to Variety, Amazon has renewed 'Lord of the Rings' for a second season. This news comes far ahead of the premiere of the first season.

Grammy honored JC Hopkins and his Biggish Band will be playing musical host at the legendary Minton's Playhouse for ringing in the New Year and no better place to do it than at the birthplace of bebop. The Biggish Band has backed a number of musical legends in its time including Norah Jones, Elvis Costello, Tony Bennett, Jazzmeia Horn and Jon Hendricks to name a few.

Nutley Little Theatre will present Love Letters by A.R. Gurney as its holiday fundraiser for two weekends in December. 

Cherylyn Lavagnino Dance will return to NYC February 25 and 26, 2020 with the premiere of Tales of Hopper (2019), a new theater-dance work inspired by American realist painter Edward Hopper. TheatreWorks Silicon Valley rings in the holidays with the new musical Pride and Prejudice, the 2019 Tony-winning company's 70th World Premiere.

Beard Collins Shores Productions will present the Los Angeles premiere of Dale Dickey, Bobbie Eakes, Sharon Garrison and Rachel Sorsa starring in the Los Angeles premiere of THIS SIDE OF CRAZY, written and directed by Del Shores. THIS SIDE OF CRAZY will preview on Thursday, January 30, 2020; will open on Friday, January 31 and run through Sunday, March 8 at the Zephyr Theatre, 7456 Melrose Ave., in West Hollywood.

Gettysburg College's Majestic Theater celebrated its 94th birthday on Thursday, Nov. 14 with the announcement that its Centennial Endowment Campaign had raised $5.3 million. The campaign went over the top when the theater received three additional gifts including a $1 million estate provision from a local couple who wish to remain anonymous. The $5 million campaign was launched on the theater's 90th birthday in 2015 to raise dedicated funds to bring in bigger stars, and expand the diversity of its world-class programming in music, dance, theater, and film.
