The January Go Try PlayWrite winner is Elizabeth Shannon for her play  Shoot Your Shot.

The plays are divided up into weekly offerings of three plays and, for only the second time, an additional fifth week offering — a feature called YPF Plus (YPF+). The play Venus, and What Else is Nocturnal is nearly ready for professional production and will bridge The Blank’s YPF and Living Room Series programs.

On November 20th at 7pm EST, the Talking It Out Virtual Arts Festival will present its next series of short plays by emerging playwrights around the world, featuring actors and directors from around the world, in support of raising mental health awareness.

The plays are Mama Bushwick is Dead by Elizabeth Shannon (age 17, from Frederick, MD); The Waiting Room by Abigail Milne (age 16, from Palo Alto, CA); and Las Mujeres de Los Ángeles by Lourdes Castillo (age 19, from New Orleans, LA).

Now celebrating its 29th year, The Blank Theatre's Nationwide Young Playwrights Festival has chosen 12 plays by playwrights aged 16–19 from nine different states.

The Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami will present “Collection Focus: Our Beginnings Never Know Our Ends,” a new exhibition of artworks that explore ideas of selfhood and the negotiation of relationships. The exhibition will be on view from April 28 through July 11, 2021.

In conjunction with Carl Juste's current public artwork on MOCA plaza, on Aug. 20, art historian and curator Elizabeth Shannon will present 'Two Voices, One Vision: When Writers and Photographers Collaborate.'
