The Ballard Institute And Museum Of Puppetry Presents BUILDING PUPPETEERS Forum

Roccoberton, Jr.] For its first installment of the 2019 Fall Puppet Forum Series, and in conjunction with the exhibit It's Always Pandemonium: The Puppets of Bart Roccoberton, the Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry at the University of Connecticut will host Building Puppeteers: How We Got Here and Where Are We Going with UConn Puppet Arts Program Director Bart. P. Roccoberton, Jr. on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Ballard Institute Theater, located at 1 Royce Circle in Downtown Storrs.

Thousand Below Announce Second Album

San Diego foursome Thousand Below have announced their second album Gone In Your Wake. The album, which is the follow up to 2017's The Love You Let Too Close, arrives on October 11 via Rise Records. The band has just dropped the video for the new track 'Disassociate.' 

Hunter Foster and Jennifer Cody Co-Direct Redhouse's RENT; Full Cast

Redhouse will launch its its season with Jonathan Larson's Rent, which will run from September 19-29, 2019. The show will be co-directed by Redhouse Artistic Director, Tony Nominated actor and Director Hunter Foster and Broadway Veteran Actress Jennifer Cody who will also choreograph the show.

Terry Knapp Celebration Of Life Announced At UHM Kennedy Theatre

The University of Hawai'i at Mānoa's Department of Theatre and Dance and Kennedy Theatre will be hosting a celebration of the life and career of Terence a?oeTerrya?? Knapp on Saturday, October 19, 2019. Doors will open at 5:00pm, participants will be welcome to visit with one another on the upper lanai; the formal Celebration will begin at 5:30pm in the Kennedy Theatre auditorium. Admission is free and open to the public.

PBS to Air GRAMMY SALUTE TO MUSIC LEGENDS

In collaboration with PBS' 'Great Performances' series, the Recording Academy presents 'GRAMMY Salute To Music Legends®,' the fourth annual all-star concert offering a primetime spotlight for the Academy's 2019 Special Merit Awards recipients. Recorded in May at Los Angeles' Dolby Theatre, the event premieres nationwide Friday, Oct. 18 at 9 p.m. on PBS (check local listings),pbs.org/gperf and the PBS Video app.

The Ballard Institute And Museum Of Puppetry Presents Its 2019 Fall Puppet Forum Series

For its 2019 Fall Puppet Forum Series, the Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry at the University of Connecticut will host four free scintillating discussions with puppeteers, scholars, and artists on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. in September through December in the Ballard Institute Theater, located at 1 Royce Circle in Downtown Storrs. These forums will illuminate new perspectives on the creation, history, aesthetics, and performance of puppetry today.

Comedy Central Renews THE JESELNIK AND ROSENTHAL VANITY PROJECT Podcast for a Second Season

Comedy Central announced today that The Jeselnik and Rosenthal Vanity Project podcast is coming back for a second season as part of its Global Podcast Network. JVRP returns on September 4 and is part of Comedy Central's multiplatform development deal with the irreverent, iconoclastic comedian, which includes the upcoming comedic interview series, Good Talk with Anthony Jeselnik, premiering on September 6. The #1 brand in comedy has also previously collaborated with the comedian for two seasons of The Jeselnik Offensive and his 2013 stand-up special, Caligula.

Moon Palace Unveil SHADOWCAST Album

Seattle indie-rock band Moon Palace - led by twin sisters Cat & Carrie Biell - just released their dreamy, psych-inspired album Shadowcast today. The quartet previously shared singles “Bold” with KEXP, as well as the contemplative “Who You Are” via Medium, giving listeners a look into the hazy, nostalgic world of Shadowcast.
