The Kleban Foundation has announced the recipients of the 34th annual Kleban Prize for Musical Theatre. The 2024 Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre lyricist has been awarded to Rona Siddiqui. See photos from inside the ceremony!

The 2023 Kleban Prize was presented on February 6 at BMI’s New York City headquarters, 7 World Trade Center. The 2023 Kleban Prize winners are most promising musical theater lyricist Ryan Scott Oliver, and most promising musical theater librettist, co-librettist Ethan Lipton. The annual KLEBAN PRIZE FOR MUSICAL THEATRE presentation took place Monday, February 4 at ASCAP, 250 W. 57th Street. Broadway's legendary musical theater creators and up-and-comers alike, came out to honor this year's three prize winners, perform some of their material, and present the prizes at a reception hosted by ASCAP and BMI.

The Kleban Foundation just presented the 28th Annual Kleban Prize for Musical Theatre. Adjudication in the 2018 Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre lyricist category resulted in a tie between Alan Schmuckler and Amanda Yesnowitz, and the 2018 Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre librettist has been awarded to Christian Duhamel. 

The annual KLEBAN PRIZE FOR MUSICAL THEATRE presentation took place just yesterday, February 6 at ASCAP.  Some of Broadway's legendary musical theatre creators and young-up-and-comers will come out to honor the two prize winners, perform some of their material, and present their prizes at a food and drink reception hosted by ASCAP and BMI.
