New York Comedy Festival Announces 2018 Headliners & Dates

The 15th Annual New York Comedy Festival (NYCF), in partnership with TBS, today announces its line-up of comedians for the highly anticipated week-long laugh fest that takes place November 5th through November 11th. Expanding to seven days this year, the NYCF will present more than 200 comedians in more than 100 shows at some of New York City's most prestigious venues.
Cate Blanchett to Guest Star in IFC's DOCUMENTARY NOW!

IFC today announced that acclaimed actress Cate Blanchett (Blue Jasmine, Carol) will guest star in an upcoming episode of Documentary Now!. In the previously announced episode 'Waiting for the Artist,' Blanchett stars as a world-renowned performance artist who feels pressured to put on the show of her life. Created by Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, Seth Meyers and Rhys Thomas and executive produced by Lorne Michaels, the Emmy(R)-nominated DOCUMENTARY NOW! is known for lovingly paying homage to the world of documentaries. Season 52 is set to premiere Wednesday, February 20 at 10PM with seven all-new episodes airing only on IFC.
Basil Twist Joins SYMPHONIE FANTASTIQUE in Select Performances

Beginning tomorrow, July 28, designer, director, master puppeteer, and MacArthur "genius" Basil Twist will perform in his singular creation, Symphonie Fantastique, during all Saturdayevening performances. The 20th-anniversary production, which has received near universal acclaim and is scheduled to close on September 2, will include Twist on July 28, August 4, 11, 18, 25 and September 1 at 8:30pm. Set to Hector Berlioz's revolutionary 1830 score, Symphonie Fantastique, for the first time in New York, features live piano accompaniment by Christopher O'Riley. Hailed as a creative masterpiece when it debuted in 1998, the production, which opened on April 4, is a presentation from HERE's Dream Music Puppetry Program and a centerpiece of HERE's 25th anniversary season.

ABC News' “Nightline” drew 1.173 million Total Viewers, 413,000 Adults 25-54 and 302,000 Adults 18-49 during the July 2018 sweep, based on Most Current Data from Nielsen Media Research. “Nightline” beat CBS' “The Late Late Show with James Corden” (1.118 million, 309,000 and 236,000, respectively) in Total Viewers(+55,000), Adults 25-54 (+104,000) and Adults 18-49 (+66,000), posting its largest July sweep margins ever in both key adult demos – ”The Late Late Show with James Corden” premiered in March 2015.

“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” has won the late-night ratings week of July 16-22 versus its ABC and CBS timeslot competition in adults 18-49 as well adults 25-54, adults 18-34 and all key adult-female demographics, according to “live plus same day” figures from Nielsen Media Research.

ABC News' “Nightline” ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (1.127 million) during the week of July 2, 2018, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “Nightline” led CBS' “The Late Late Show with James Corden-JC-ENC” (1.050 million) by 77,000 and NBC's “Late Night with Seth Meyers-SM” (997,000) by 150,000.
