Goodman Theatre Artistic Director Robert Falls has announced casting for his upcoming revival of Molly Sweeney by Brian Friel. In assuming the title role, Chicago favorite Kate Fry returns to the Goodman, following her recent appearance in Falls' production of The Winter's Tale. Joining Fry are stage and screen star Brendan Coyle (Downton Abbey), who returns to the Goodman following his triumphant appearance in last season's St. Nicholas by Conor McPherson, and Chicago's Christopher Donahue (Oedipus Rex at Court Theatre, Moby Dick at Lookingglass).

What They Said About Love by Steve Budd is the fifth performance for Brian Copeland presents The Best of San Francisco Solo Series 2019/20 in partnership with The Marin Cultural Association at The Marin Center's Showcase Theater. This absorbing solo play will be presented on Sunday, February 23, 2020 (7pm) at The Marin Center's Showcase Theater.

City Theatre at Sacramento City College continues its 2019-20 season with Mr. Burns, a Post-Electric Play.

Casting Directors Geoff Josselson, C.S.A., and Katja Zarolinski, C.S.A., announced today the launch of JZ Casting, a New York-based casting office, with over 25 years of combined experience in the entertainment industry. Their new offices are located at 226 West 37th Street, Suite 604.

Theatre production company Parity Productions has released its monthly list of Qualifying Productions for February -their directory of New York City shows in which the individual creative teams have 50% of the positions filled with women and/or trans and gender nonconforming (TGNC) artists (directors, designers, and playwrights).

The Bucks County Playhouse is one of the most historic theaters in the country. Its wooden walls practically brim over with a sense of magic, holding within them the vast legacy of performers and creatives who made their impact upon its stage. Names like Grace Kelly, Robert Redford, Neil Simon, Helen Hayes, Angela Lansbury... and that's the short list. One of the people currently contributing to the Playhouse's legacy in a big way is Alexander Fraser, who came onboard the Bucks County Playhouse team as Producing Director in January of 2014.

Loft Ensemble in North Hollywood has announced this season's third production in Sawyer's Playhouse (the company's second stage), the world premiere of Birthday Wish written and directed by Victoria Anne Greenwood. The cast will feature (in alphabetical order) Adam Chambers, Sean Durrie, Charlie Daniell, Jana Hamblin, Marc Leclerc, Jenny Mitchell, Benjamin Rawls, Keaton Rogers, La'Vel Stacy, and Madylin Sweeten. There will be six performances only beginning Friday, February 21, at 8pm and continuing through Sunday, March 1.

Artisan Children's Theater proudly presents ALICE IN WONDERLAND JR. at its 148 seat Second Stage facility. The theater is located at 444 East Pipeline Road in Hurst. The show runs Friday, February 7, 2020 through Saturday, March 14, 2020. Performances are Fridays at 5:00pm and Saturdays at 10:00am and 12:00pm. Additional 10:00am and 12:00pm performances on February 25, March 3, and March 9-13. No 5pm performance March 13. Reserved seating tickets are $8.00 for children 12 and under and $13.00 for adults. Centenary Stage Company has announced its cast for the upcoming 2020 production of Neil Simon's The Sunshine Boys opening February 14 and running through March 1 in the Sitnik Theatre of the Lackland Performing Arts Center at 715 Grand Ave. Hackettstown, NJ.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater has announced today that it will stage the World Premiere musical The Notebook, based on the classic best-selling novel by Nicholas Sparks that inspired the hugely popular film. The musical adaptation features music and lyrics by multi-Platinum singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson with book by playwright Bekah Brunstetter-best known as a writer and producer on NBC's hit series This Is Us.

We follow the path of the artists who risked their careers and lives to perform it in this deeply moving play accompanied by a small live klezmer band.

Earlier this week, Roundabout Theatre Company brought Charles Fuller's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, A Soldier's Play, to Broadway for the very first time. At the helm of the new production is Kenny Leon, directing the eleventh Broadway project of his career.

Second Stage Theater will soon present WE'RE GONNA DIE, a show performed by Janelle McDermoth (A Bronx Tale), will be part of the company's current 41st season. WE'RE GONNA DIE is written by Young Jean Lee (Straight White Men) and directed & choreographed by Raja Feather Kelly, featuring original music by Young Jean Lee and Tim Simmonds, additional music by John-Michael Lyles, and lyrics by Young Jean Lee. Music supervision and arrangements are by Remy Kurs with orchestrations by Cian McCarthy.
