j-hope, member of 21st century pop icons BTS, will headline Lollapalooza 2022 with a spectacular festival-closing performance on the main stage. His performance will make history, cementing him as the first South Korean artist to ever headline a main stage at a major U.S. music festival.

Producing Artistic Director, Sheila Kay Davis (New Professional Theatre) today announced the cast and creative team for BREATHE, written by award-winning writers Stephanie Berry, Cassandra Medley, Càndido Tirado and Directed by Edward Torres (Public Theater, Second Stage, Steppenwolf, Goodman Theatre, The Old Globe).

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley continues its 51st season with the hit musical Ragtime. This sweeping and stirring musical masterpiece paints a portrait of America at the dawn of the twentieth century, interweaving the lives of three families—an African American family, a Jewish Immigrant family, and a wealthy white family—finding their places and pursuing the American Dream in a rapidly changing world. Featuring a Tony Award-winning book by Pulitzer Prize finalist Terrence McNally (Master Class, Kiss of the Spider Woman, The Rink) and a Tony Award-winning score by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens (Once on This Island, Anastasia, Seussical The Musical), this musical is based on E. Artisan Children's Theater will present DISNEY'S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST JR. at its 150 seat Second Stage facility. The theater is located at 444 East Pipeline Road in Hurst.

The Muny announced today its full cast, design and production teams for the theatre's production of Chicago, June 13-19. The cast features Sarah Bowden (Roxie Hart), J. Harrison Ghee (Velma Kelly), Adam Heller (Amos Hart), Emily Skinner (Matron 'Mama' Morton), James T. Lane (Billy Flynn) and Ali Ewoldt (Mary Sunshine). The Fountain Theatre will once again jump into action with a “hyper-staged” reading of Roe, a powerful, poignant and often humorous play by Lisa Loomer that cuts through the headlines to reveal the real-life women behind Roe v. Wade, the landmark 1973 case that gave women the right to safe, legal abortion. 

Bill Oliver will direct the film, featuring a script that he co-wrote with Peter Nickowitz. Fernando Loureiro and Guilherme Coelho will produce the new film through their company, Tigress, with additional casting and a distrubtor to be announced.

Second Stage Theater has announced two new productions for its upcoming 2022-23 Season. Tony Award-nominee Bess Wohl will return to the Tony Kiser Theater (305 West 43rd Street) this Fall with the New York premiere of CAMP SIEGFRIED.
