NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council) will host its fifth fundraising event, “Night of Comedy”, on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Cipriani South Street, Casa Cipriani in New York. The evening will pay special tribute to NRDC Honorary Trustee and Night of Comedy Founder, Anna Scott Carter, for her tremendous service on behalf of NRDC and its mission.  

Lantern Theater Company has announced its upcoming 2022/23 season, a return of live performance that will include an ambitious and eclectic mix of classic and contemporary work for the stage.

Lantern Theater Company will conclude its 2021/22 Mainstage Season of live performances with the Philadelphia premiere of Fabulation, or The Re-Education of Undine by two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage. Making her Lantern directorial debut, Amina Robinson helms a cast of Philadelphia actors in a true ensemble production, with eight actors playing nearly 30 roles.

Lantern Theater Company will welcome back audiences with a remount of its original adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, commissioned and developed through the Lantern's New Play Program and co-created by Philadelphia theater artists Anthony Lawton, Christopher Colucci, and Thom Weaver.

Journalist Megyn Kelly appeared on an episode of Real Time With Bill Maher earlier this week. Kelly joined Bill to discuss the media and political correctness in the age of Trump. She also chatted about the film Bombshell, which told the story of sexual harassment at Fox News, and featured herself (played by Charlize Theron).

Allowing Maher to offer his unique perspective on contemporary issues, the show includes an opening monologue, roundtable discussions with panelists and interviews with guests. Senator and author Sherrod Brown is the top-of-show interview guest. Democratic Senate candidate Jaime Harrison is the mid-show interview guest. The roundtable guests are Fox News contributor and former DNC Chairwoman Donna Brazile, president of Eurasia Group and GZERO Media Ian Bremmer and New York Times columnist Frank Bruni.

Pediatrician Dr. Jay Gordon is the top-of-show interview guest. Author Ronan Farrow is the mid-show interview guest. Independent Shakespeare Co.
