David Venn Enterprises has announced that the Sydney season of Cruel Intentions: the ‘90s Musical has been extended by popular demand, while new seats have just been released in Melbourne and Brisbane. 

The song and video feature an all-star diverse cast, including VINCINT, Kiyoko, Gus Kenworthy, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and LGBTQ+ ally (and co-founder of cannabis consumption lounge Fanton Flower) Patricia Arquette, as well as top drag performers from season 14 of Rupaul’s Drag Race: Kornbread, Kerri Colby, Jorgeous, and crowned winner, Willow Pill.

 Chicago will continue to produce some of the most exciting work in the country this summer. Offerings from the city’s more than 250 producing theatres include a wide variety of plays and musicals, as well as comedy, dance, and outdoor events.

It's a cruel summer as Kokandy goes all the way with flirty fun and '90s nostalgia in the Chicago storefront premiere of Cruel Intentions: The '90 Musical, directed by Artistic Associate Adrian Abel Azevedo. This “fun, sexy, and seductive” show (laced with hits from No Doubt, Jewel, Britney Spears, Garbage and more) will have audiences grooving along to the infamous bittersweet symphony. 

David Venn Enterprises (The Wedding Singer, Bring It On: The Musical) has announced national tour dates for the Australian professional premiere of Cruel Intentions: The ‘90s Musical, with tickets on sale now for Melbourne and Sydney, and new seasons announced in Brisbane and Adelaide.

On-demand streaming access to CRUEL INTENTIONS: THE ‘90S MUSICAL, LIVE IN CONCERT has been extended by three weeks due to popular demand. There will be a virtual cast watch party on Sunday, January 16, at 8PM ET, offering fans the opportunity to interact with the cast and creatives, including star Janel Parrish.

CRUEL INTENTIONS: THE ‘90S MUSICAL returns to Los Angeles for a one-nighter, LIVE at and streaming from the Bourbon Room December 19, 2021. With the plot of the 1999 cult hit Cruel Intentions as their starting point, the cast of powerhouse singers will sing the characters played in the film by Sarah Michelle Gellar, Reese Witherspoon, Ryan Phillipe and others using songs that the characters would have sung in the movie, if it were a musical. These songsters include Brian Logan Dales, Israel Erron Ford, Frankie Grande, Jenn Harris, Emma Hunton, Janel Parrish, Constantine Rousouli and Carrie St. Louis.  

Tony Award-winning producer Eva Price has announced a one-night-only event, CRUEL INTENTIONS: THE ‘90S MUSICAL, LIVE IN CONCERT will be presented on Sunday, December 19, 2021 for a live audience at The Bourbon Room in Los Angeles, and streamed worldwide on Stellar.

Netflix has released the Masters of the Universe: Revelation, Vol. 2 soundtrack composed by Bear McCreary. Mattel has brought Masters of The Universe back to delight long-standing fans and introduce a new generation to Eternia and the thrilling, heroic adventures of the Guardians of Grayskull. The cast feature Mark Hamill, Chris Wood, and more.

The war for Eternia continues in the second part of Masters of the Universe: Revelation, an innovative and action-packed animated series that picks up where the iconic characters left off. The series features mark Hamill, Lena Headey, Chris Wood, Alicia Silverstone, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and more. Watch the new trailer for part two now!

Sarah Goodman and Phoebe Fisher are set to pen the series. Fisher is currently writing the pilot with Goodman supervising. If the show is picked up, then the two would write the series together. 

After a year of Covid-adapted shows, Canisius alumni-founded Bellissima Productions is kicking off their fourth theatre season with a live production of Cruel Intentions: The 90's Musical. A production written by Jordan Ross, Lindsey Rosin and Roger Kumble, the jukebox musical is backed by iconic music from the 1990's and based on the cult film.
