Due to demand, The New Group has announced a three-week extension for Jerry Springer - The Opera, with Matt McGrath appearing as Jerry Springer beginning March 13.  Terrence Mann, currently appearing in the role of Jerry Springer, plays his final performance March 11 due to an existing commitment beyond that date.

The Actors Fund announced today that The Band's Visit has added a Special Benefit Performance for The Actors Fund. This benefit performance will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at 7:30 pm at the Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47th Street).

Ghostlight Records will celebrate the release of the original Broadway cast recording of THE BAND'S VISIT, the best reviewed musical of the season, with an exclusive in-store performance and fan photo-op at Barnes & Noble on the album's release date, Friday, February 23 at 4:00 PM. Tony Shalhoub, Katrina Lenk and the cast - with the show's composer and lyricist David Yazbek joining as special guest - will commemorate the release of the album on CD.

BAD DATES remount at Huntington Theatre Company reunites Director Jessica Stone and actor Haneefah Wood who worked together in HTC's VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE (2015). Put aside any qualms you may have about one-person plays because Theresa Rebeck has conjured up a character with a multitude of sparkly facets and Wood is luminous while bringing her to life. Performances have been extended to March 3rd.

In Broadway by Design, BroadwayWorld is shining a spotlight on the stellar designs of this Broadway season, show by show. Today, we continue the series with Scott Pask and Sarah Laux, who acted as scenic and costume designers for Broadway's moving new musical, The Band's Visit.

The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center and producers Scott Rudin and Barry Diller announce casting for The Humans. The first national tour will feature Richard Thomas as Erik, Pamela Reed as Deirdre, Daisy Eagan as Brigid, Lauren Klein as Momo, Therese Plaehn as Aimee, and Luis Vega as Richard.

Jerry Springer The Opera features Music by Richard Thomas and Book & Additional Lyrics by Stewart Lee and Richard Thomas, with Choreography by Chris Bailey. John Rando directs. This production includes Set Design by Derek McLane, Costume Design by Sarah Laux, Lighting Design by Jeff Croiter, Sound Design by John Shivers, Projection Design by Olivia Sebesky, Orchestrations by Greg Anthony Rassen and Music Direction by Michael Brennan. Previews begin January 23 in advance of an Official Opening Night on Thursday, February 22. Broadway In Chicago has announced that individual tickets for the most acclaimed American play in recent memory, The Humans, will go on sale Sunday, Dec. 3. The Humans plays Broadway In Chicago's Cadillac Palace Theatre for a limited two-week engagement Jan. 30 Feb. 11, 2018.
